摘要: A fireproof, bullet resistant bifurcated backpack assembly provides a combination of a bullet resistant vest worn on the torso that absorbs the impact from projectiles and shrapnel, and a backpack that is worn across the back to carry items. The panels join as a backpack or bifurcate into a front panel for protecting the chest and a rear panel for protecting the back. The assembly comprises a first panel and a second panel, with the first panel adapted to cover the chest, the second panel adapted to cover the back. A fastening mechanism is operational along the junction between the panels. A bullet resistant armor material is integrated into each panel. At least one pocket forms in each panel. At least two straps extend from the rear panel. The straps serves the dual purpose of carrying the backpack, and tying the front and rear vests snugly around the torso.

摘要: A knee pad is an apparatus that prevents the knee(s) of the user from making direct contact with a surface, is mounted to the knee area of the user through straps, and allows the user to utilize any padding. The knee pad includes a first strap, a second strap, a pad-receiving envelope, and an elastic tether. The first strap and the second strap allow the knee pad to be mounted to the knee area of the user. The first strap is a strip of material that can be wrapped around the thigh area of the user. The second strap is a strip of material that can be wrapped around the calf area of the user. The pad-receiving envelope can receive any padding that the user desires. The elastic tether allows the present invention to fit any size thigh and calf area of a user.

摘要: A garment related to leg protection for hazardous activities. Darts and pleats sewn or otherwise constructed into such a garment to improve fit and contouring. The garment may comprise a belt assembly providing improved comfort and reduced fatigue and injury with pivot points adjacent a wearer's hips. The belt assembly may have a shape to mimic that of a human pelvis. Such a shape may facilitate the transfer of weight more directly onto the wearer's bone structure with less strain on the wearer's muscles.

摘要: A knee pad holding mechanism for holding a knee pad over the knee region of a pantleg having a first length of fabric material and a second length of fabric material operatively secured together to form a pocket, the pocket being sized and shaped to receive a knee pad and having at least one opening located along each of the outside edges of the pocket for receiving a strap associated with the knee pad. In one embodiment, the first length of fabric material can be secured directly to the knee region of a pantleg wherein the pantleg forms the second length of fabric material. Other embodiments include using a loop, eyelet, slits or an additional section of fabric having a slit associated therewith for receiving a strap associated with the knee pad. The present mechanism is also adaptable for use to receive an elbow pad.

摘要: A goaltender leg pad providing profile adjustment, toe attachment and/or toe thickness adjustment. The leg pad can include an adjuster element that configures adjacent pads at a user selected angle or configuration to provide a desired front profile of the leg pad. The leg pad can include an optionally elastic toe attachment strap joined with a foot pad and/or boot, and a redirection element slidably engaging the strap. The strap can secure the foot pad to the user's skate, and generally centrally locate the foot pad over the user's skate when the user transitions to a standing position and/or a crouching position. The leg pad can include a foot pad configured to engage the top of a user's skate. The foot pad can define a cavity within which a secondary pad can be selectively installed or removed to alter the toe thickness of the foot pad and provide desired performance.
