    摘要: A direct current motor includes a stator generating a magnetic field therein and a rotor having an armature and rotating inside the stator. A commutator for supplying electric current to the armature is connected to the rotor. The commutator is composed of plural commutator segments bonded together with an insulating resin material. Each commutator segment includes an anchor portion formed at a radial inside and a projecting portion extending in an axial direction, and both portions are embedded in the insulating resin. The commutator segments are firmly bonded with the insulating resin, and the bonding strength is increased without enlarging the commutator size.

    摘要: In a starter for starting an internal combustion engine with a first output shaft to which a ring gear is coupled, a motor has a second output shaft to which a movable pinion member is coupled and is operative to, when energized, rotate the second output shaft. A solenoid device includes a solenoid actuator linked to the movable pinion member. The solenoid actuator is configured to, when activated, shift the movable pinion member toward the ring gear to be engaged with the ring gear. The solenoid device includes a solenoid switch configure to, when activated, energize the motor. The solenoid actuator and the solenoid switch are integrated with each other to provide the solenoid device. A controller module is configured to individually control an activation of the solenoid actuator and an activation of the solenoid switch. The controller module is mounted on the solenoid device.

    摘要: An electromagnetic switch for a starter is provided. In the switch, a switch case has an open end formed and a molding cap has two terminals connected electrically to external leads and a fitting end. The fitting end is mutually fitted to the open end of the switch case. A pair of fixed contacts is disposed inside the molding cap, each fixed contact being integrally secured to each terminal. A movable contact is movably disposed to face the pair of fixed contacts. An excitation coil generates a magnetic force necessary for driving the movable contact. Further, the switch case includes a winding-up belt piece integrally formed to a circumference of the open end to extend outwardly in its axial direction. The molding cap includes a circumferential groove formed on an outer surface of the fitting end of the molding cap, the winding-up belt piece winding up the whole circumferential groove.

    摘要: In a starter, a pinion is fitted on a pinion shaft such that a rear end surface of the pinion is pressed against a thrust receiving wall provided on the pinion shaft, while a front end surface of the pinion is pressed backward by a detent ring. The detent ring has a tapered surface and fitted in a recess provided on a pinion shaft. A front rising wall defining the recess has a tapered wall so as to correspond to the tapered surface. Since resiliency of the detent ring constricting radially inward is applied to the tapered wall, a component force of the resiliency pressing the pinion axially backward is generated. Thus, the pinion is restricted from moving axially backward by pressing a rear end surface against a thrust receiving wall of the pinion shaft, while the front side surface of the pinion is pressed axially backward through the detent ring.
