Abstract:
A method, system, and apparatus for parking occupancy detection comprises collecting video of a blockface with at least one video recording module, identifying a number of possible parking spaces along the blockface in the collected video, defining, a region of interest for each of the possible parking spaces, detecting a time dependent occupancy of the defined regions of interest for each of the possible parking spaces, and reporting the time dependent occupancy. Drift correction of the recorded video and ground truth comparisons of occupancy determinations may be provided.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented system and method for gait analysis of a subject. The method includes obtaining visual data from an image capture device positioned in front of or behind the subject, the plurality of image frames capturing at least one gait cycle of the gait of the subject, detecting one or more prescribed features within the plurality of image frames, analyzing each of the plurality of image frames to detect cross-frame stability of the one or more prescribed features, and segmenting the gait of the subject into at least one gait cycle based at least in part on the detected cross-frame stability of the one or more prescribed features.
Abstract:
A store profile generation system includes a mobile base and an image capture assembly mounted on the base. The assembly includes at least one image capture device for acquiring images of product display units in a retail environment. A control unit acquires the images captured by the at least one image capture device at a sequence of locations of the mobile base in the retail environment. The control unit extracts product-related data from the acquired images and generates a store profile indicating locations of products and their associated tags throughout the retail environment, based on the extracted product-related data. The store profile can be used for generating new product labels for a sale in an appropriate order for a person to match to the appropriate locations in a single pass through the store.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for training a parked vehicle detector. Video data regarding one or more parking sites can be captured. Positive training samples can then be collected from the video data based on a combination of one or more automated computing methods and human-input auxiliary information. Additionally, negative training samples can be collected from the video data based on automated image analyses with respect to the captured video data. The positive training samples and the negative training samples can then be used to train, re-train or update one or more parked vehicle detectors with respect to the parking site(s) for use in managing parking at the parking site(s).
Abstract:
A method for training a vehicle detection system used in a street occupancy estimation of stationary vehicles. The method includes defining first and second areas on an image plane of an image capture device associated with monitoring for detection of vehicles. The method includes receiving video-data from a sequence of frames captured from the image capture device. The method includes determining candidate frames that include objects relevant to a classification task in the second area. The method includes extracting the objects from the candidate frames, extracting features of each extracted object, and assigning labels to the each extracted object. The method includes training at least one classifier using the labels and extracted features. The method includes using the at least one trained classifier to classify a stationary vehicle detected in the first area.
Abstract:
A method for evaluation of one or more remote workers is disclosed. The method includes sending a set of tasks. The set of tasks includes a first subset of tasks and a second subset of tasks. The first subset of tasks is generated with a set of predetermined responses. The method further includes receiving a first subset of responses corresponding to the first subset of tasks from the one or more remote workers. The first subset of responses is then compared with the set of predetermined responses, and the one or more remote workers are analyzed based on the comparison.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for use in a retail store. An example system includes a mobile base, a printer, an image capture subsystem on the mobile base and coupled to the printer, the image capture system including at least one image capture device and at least one image processor, the image capture device configured to obtain images of items in the retail store, the image processor configured to derive item identification data from the images of items, and a control subsystem coupled to the printer and to the image capture subsystem, where the control subsystem is configured to receive information identifying items requiring signage, acquire item identification data from the image capture subsystem, determine, based on the information identifying items requiring signage and on the item identification data, items requiring signage, and to direct the printer to print signage for the items requiring signage.
Abstract:
A method and system for video-based object tracking includes detecting an initial instance of an object of interest in video captured of a scene being monitored and establishing a representation of a target object from the initial instance of the object. The dominant motion trajectory characteristic of the target object are then determined and a frame-by-frame location of the target object can be collected in order to track the target object in the video.
Abstract:
A system and method of monitoring a customer space including obtaining visual data comprising image frames of the customer space over a period of time, defining a region of interest within the customer space, the region of interest corresponding to a portion of the customer space in which customers relocate objects, monitoring the region of interest for at least one predefined clutter condition, and generating a notification when the at least one predefined clutter condition is detected.
Abstract:
