An image sensor including: a first photodiode; a first circuit including an overflow transistor and a first transfer transistor connected to the first photodiode, a switch element connected to the first transfer transistor and a capacitor disposed between the first transfer transistor and the switch element, wherein the capacitor is a physical capacitor; a second photodiode; and a second circuit including a second transfer transistor connected to the second photodiode, a reset transistor connected to an output of the first circuit and a driving transistor connected to the second transfer transistor and the output of the first circuit.

A refrigerator and a method for controlling the same are disclosed, which may automatically open or close a door and a method for controlling the same. The refrigerator may automatically open or close door(s) of the refrigerator by controlling a motor. After lapse of a predetermined time after the door of the refrigerator has been closed, the refrigerator operates a motor with an output used when the door is not opened, such that the refrigerator may remove noise while simultaneously maintaining a constant door opening time when the door is opened. In addition, when the door opening signal time is detected, the refrigerator may immediately opens the door.

Disclosed herein is a refrigerator which includes a body, a door configured to open and close a storage compartment and a door opening and closing apparatus. The door opening and closing apparatus includes a pair of intermittent gears configured to transmit the power from a first gear to a second gear of the door opening and closing apparatus and configured to prevent an external force from being transmitted from the second gear to the first gear while the external force is applied to open and close the door. This configuration, among other benefits, improves the durability of a door opening and closing apparatus.

Provided herein is a door opening and closing apparatus capable of reducing torque of a motor required for removing an adhesive force between a door and a housing. The door opening and closing apparatus includes a motor configured to output power for opening and closing a door, a power transmission apparatus configured to transmit the power of the motor to a hinge by rotation of a plurality of driving gears, and an auxiliary apparatus configured to generate an auxiliary force for moving the door at a closing position toward an opening position, where the auxiliary force is generated at the auxiliary apparatus by the power of the motor before the power of the motor is transmitted to the hinge through the power transmission apparatus.
