Abstract:
An air conditioner may provide a a fan housing assembly that moves in the front-rear direction by the operation of an actuator, and the fan housing assembly moves so as to pass through a front outlet arranged on a door assembly to be in a projected state, and the front end of the fan housing assembly protrudes further to the front than the front surface of the door assembly; and through the projected state, may provide conditioned air by a direct air flow to a long-distance target region. The configuration may enable the minimization of interference between the discharged air and the door assembly, and the minimization of flow loss of the discharged air since, when the fan housing assembly is in the projected state, a steering grill is in a state of protruding to the outside of the door assembly by passing through the front outlet.
Abstract:
A front end of a steering grill from which air is discharged protrudes further than the front surface of a door assembly, and the steering grill is steered by a steering assembly, and thus conditioned air may be provided by a directed air movement to a long-distance target region, and since the front end of the steering grill protrudes further than the front surface of the door assembly, the occurrence of flow resistance as a result of a cabinet assembly or the door assembly interfering with the discharged air may be minimized, and the direction of the steering grill may be instantly changed, by means of steering, from any one direction to another among up, down, left, right, upper left, lower left, upper right, or lower right.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an air conditioner capable of guiding air in a desired direction with an adjusted speed without marring the appearance to solve the above-described problems. An air conditioner comprising a ceiling-embedded type indoor unit configured to discharge air into an indoor room through an air outlet simultaneously sucking indoor air through an air inlet, wherein a air conditioner comprises, a main flap configured to guide a direction of air discharged from a air outlet in a preset direction, and a sub-flap configured to guide the direction of air between the main flap and the sub-flap in the preset direction, wherein a length of a main flap in a direction where air flows is longer than that of the sub-flap in the direction where air flows.
Abstract:
An illustrative damper system includes a damper blade that is configured to be positioned within a duct, such as a bypass duct of an HVAC system. A shaft is in communication with the damper blade, a torsion spring is in communication with the shaft, and a force adjustment mechanism is in communication with the torsion spring. The shaft, the damper blade, and the torsion spring may be configured such that the shaft may affect movement of the damper blade about a rotation axis and the torsion spring may provide a bias force to the shaft for biasing the damper blade toward a desired position (e.g. closed position).
Abstract:
An air-conditioning register includes a retainer, fins, a coupling plate, and a drive mechanism. The fins are tiltably supported by the retainer with fin pivots. Each fin has a coupling pin at a position displaced from the fin pivot. The coupling plate couples the fins together at the coupling pins. The drive mechanism changes the position of the coupling plate in the flowing direction. The coupling pins are engaged with cam grooves provided in the coupling plate. Each cam groove includes a parallel blow zone and at least one non-parallel blow zone. The drive mechanism includes an allowing portion. When operation is executed to tilt the fins about the fin pivots, the allowing portion allows the coupling plate to move in an arrangement direction of the fins, while maintaining the coupling pins in the current zones in the cam grooves.
Abstract:
Air conditioner units, bulkhead assemblies, and methods for operating air conditioner units are provided. A bulkhead assembly includes a bulkhead which includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a rear wall extending laterally between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The rear wall includes an indoor facing surface and an opposing outdoor facing surface. The bulkhead assembly further includes a vent aperture defined in the rear wall, and a vent door movable between an open position and a closed position, wherein in the open position the vent door permits air flow through the vent aperture and in the closed position the vent door inhibits air flow through the vent aperture. The bulkhead assembly further includes a drive assembly connected to the vent door and operable to selectively move the vent door between the open position and the closed position.
Abstract:
A heat dissipation system for cabinet servers supported on a raised floor includes a condenser, airflow adjusting apparatus, a controller, and a temperature sensor located at an air outlet of each cabinet server. The raised floor defines air outlets adjacent to each cabinet server. The adjusting apparatus are mounted to the raised floor and aligning with the air outlets. Each of the airflow adjusting apparatus includes a number of shielding members rotatable relative to the raised floor and aligning with the air outlets, and a motor electrically coupled to the controller. The temperature sensors are electrically coupled to the controller. The condenser generates cool air entering the raised floor through the air inlet, to enter the cabinet servers through the airflow adjusting apparatus and the air outlets. The controller controls the shielding members to rotate, to change the opening size of the air outlets of the raised floor.
Abstract:
In an embodiment, a method of testing a HVAC unit for a disconnected damper motor is provided. An outside air section of a damper assembly is closed and air is circulated through the unit. If a discharge air temperature is not substantially equal to a return air temperature, the damper motor is determined to be disconnected. Otherwise, an economizing function having a free cooling target temperature is started. An outside air temperature is compared to the free cooling target temperature. If the outside air temperature is less than the free cooling target temperature, the damper motor is determined to be disconnected if the damper motor has been commanded to fully open the outside air section. If the outside air temperature is not less than the free cooling target temperature, the damper motor is determined to be disconnected if a discharge air temperature is not substantially equal to an outside air temperature.
