摘要: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method for receiving media content by a client is provided. The method includes receiving, from a server, a media presentation description (MPD) including content type information for three-dimensional (3D) media content and configuration type information for the 3D media content, accessing a segment of the 3D media content based on information included in the MPD, and receiving the 3D media content based on the segment. The content type information may indicate an identifier for the 3D media content, and the configuration type information may indicate whether quality is adjustable for each of content components of the 3D media content.

The method, performed by a terminal device mounted in an autonomous vehicle, of transmitting information to a server includes: determining a format to transmit the information to the server, based on network information received from the server; estimating a trajectory of the autonomous vehicle; generating estimated trajectory information indicating the estimated trajectory of the autonomous vehicle according to the determined format; and transmitting the generated estimated trajectory information to the server.

The method includes performing a capability negotiation for a call with a second terminal, and establishing a first connection between the first terminal and a call server according to a first mode among the plurality of modes for the call with the second terminal after performing the capability negotiation, wherein the performing of the capability negotiation includes transmitting a first message including information indicating a media attribute of each of two or more modes of the plurality of modes to the call server.

According to an embodiment of the disclosure, a method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes generating ambient environment information including at least one piece of information obtained based on an ambient environment of the UE; establishing a session for receiving an AR service description from an application server; receiving, from the application server, the AR service description including pipeline information indicating a transmission path related to the AR service and result information about at least one process requested by the UE; and transmitting the ambient environment information to the application server and receiving at least one media segment of an AR content from the application server based on the ambient environment information.
