More specifically, disclosed are a portable device and a method for controlling a cursor of the portable device, by which a cursor that is displayed by using a first pressure touch (or successive motions of the first pressure touch) is controlled. Some of the disclosed embodiments provide a portable device and a method for controlling a cursor of the portable device, by which a cursor that is displayed by using a first touch and a first pressure touch (or successive motions of the first pressure touch) is controlled.

The method includes displaying an application on the screen of the mobile terminal; displaying, simultaneously with the displayed application, a card in a predefined area of the screen, the card comprising information corresponding to the application; detecting an input on the screen of the mobile terminal; modifying a display of at least one of the card and the predefined area based on a type of the input and a position of the input on the screen, wherein, when the detected input is an input selecting one of a plurality of objects displayed within the card each corresponding to a different operation, modifying the display comprises performing the operation corresponding to the selected object.

A flexible device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise: a touch panel for detecting contact with respect to at least a part of the flexible device; and a processor for judging bending information of the flexible device, judging the properties of each of one or more contact areas detected by the touch panel, and controlling a function of the flexible device on the basis of the judged bending information and a change in the judged properties of the one or more contact areas. In addition to the various embodiments of the present invention, other embodiments may also be possible.
