    Abstract: A communication device for RF based communication with another communication device, said communication device comprising circuitry configured to apply a fine timing measurement, FTM, procedure. The circuitry is configured to determine an FTM mode out of at least two different FTM modes, and to perform an FTM procedure to determine the round trip time, RTT, between the communication device and the other communication device, wherein the RTT is determined by evaluating a time information of a tap of the channel impulse response, wherein the tap used for the evaluation depends on the determined FTM mode.

    Abstract: A first communication device for communicating with a second communication device over a link that is utilized at the substantially same time and with the substantially same frequency resource by a pair of further communication devices. The first communication device comprises one or more antenna arrays with which beamforming can be performed, a controller configured to apply beamformers to control beamforming by the one or more antenna arrays, and circuitry configured to determine whether at least one of the beamformers satisfies an interference condition such that a level of interference leaked to the further communication devices by the first communication device is below a defined threshold, and if available, select the at least one beamformer for communicating with the second communication device.

    Abstract: A coding and modulation apparatus and method are presented, particularly for use in a system according to IEEE 802.11. The apparatus comprises an encoder configured to encode input data into cell words according to an LDPC code and a modulator configured to modulate said cell words into constellation values of a non-uniform constellation and to assign bit combinations to constellation values of the used non-uniform constellation. The modulator is configured to use a non-uniform constellation and bit labeling from one of the several groups of constellations, which constellation show quadrant and octant symmetry.
