Abstract:
A method and apparatus for controlling the movement of a vehicle side window. The side window is movable by way of a window lifter, of a side door of a motor vehicle. The side window is automatically moved by the window lifter into a predetermined intermediate position as a function of a movement of the side door, the intermediate position deviating from a completely closed or lowered position of the side window. To prevent rattling noises due to the side window, starting from the completely lowered position of the side window, the side window is raised into the intermediate position at least when closing the side door. In this intermediate position, the side window with its upper window edge is moved in at least some sections into a sealing gap which is situated on a railing of the side door.
Abstract:
A retaining clip, especially for automotive bodies, comprises a foot section and a head part, the head part having a retainer section for at least one structural component to be secured and the foot section being insertable in a final mounting position into an opening in a body part and secured thereto. In this way, even in the case of difficult construction space conditions, i.e., when two components cannot be positioned relative to each other in an accessible position in the final mounting position, the retaining clip pre-mounted on the structural component to be secured has a tensioning element by means of which the retaining clip can be moved from pre-mounting position A via intermediate positions into final mounting position B.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for controlling the movement of a vehicle side window. The side window is movable by means of a window lifter operated by outside force, of a side door of a motor vehicle. The side window is automatically moved by the window lifter into a predetermined intermediate position as a function of a movement of the side door, the intermediate position deviating from a completely closed or lowered position of the side window. To prevent rattling noises due to the side window, starting from a completely lowered position of the side window, the side window is raised into the intermediate position at least when closing the side door. In this intermediate position, the side window with its upper window edge is moved in at least some sections into a sealing gap which is situated on a railing of the side door.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of generating a candidate list from a list of entries in accordance with a string of subword units corresponding to a speech input in a speech recognition system, the list of entries including plural list entries each comprising at least one fragment having one or more subword units. For each list entry, the fragments of the list entry are compared with the string of subword units. A matching score for each of the compared fragments based on the comparison is determined. The matching score for a fragment is further based on a comparison of at least one other fragment of the same list entry with the string of subword units. A total score for each list entry is determined based on the matching scores for the compared fragments of the respective list entry. A candidate list with the best matching entries from the list of entries based on the total scores of the list entries is generated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for preparing aldehydes having five carbon atoms, in which an input mixture containing 10% by weight to 50% by weight of linear butenes and less than 5% by weight of 1-butene is hydroformylated with synthesis gas in the presence of a catalyst system comprising rhodium and at least one bisphosphite ligand, wherein the hydroformylation is effected in a reactor from which, over an operating period, a cycle gas containing at least a portion of the products and unconverted reactants from the hydroformylation is continuously drawn off and partly condensed, and uncondensed components of the cycle gas are recycled into the reactor, and wherein, after the operating period has expired, the hydroformylation is stopped, the reactor is freed of reaction residues and the hydroformylation is restarted. It is based on the problem of making such a process more economically viable. The problem is solved by using a bisphosphite of the formula (1) and/or (2) as ligand, extending the operating period to more than 8000 h, and not separating solid reaction residues out of the reactor during the course of the operating period.
Abstract:
A device and method for treating all types of parts, in particular bones, organs, etc. of the human/animal body, which includes a housing (3), a tool (1) associated with the housing (3), and an actuation unit causing a relative movement between the housing and the tool. The device is designed and constructed to permit process control by the user, while utilizing the specific possibilities of robotics and computer-assisted navigation in such a manner that the position of the tool can be detected, and that the position of the body part being treated can be detected or predetermined, with the actuation unit being activatable in such a manner that it moves the tool within a predetermined work area to a predetermined relative position with respect to the body part being treated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for preparing isophorone (3,5,5-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one) in the presence of at least one defoamer in the wastewater column in the workup section.
Abstract:
A system and method is provided for recognizing a speech input and selecting an entry from a list of entries. The method includes recognizing a speech input. A fragment list of fragmented entries is provided and compared to the recognized speech input to generate a candidate list of best matching entries based on the comparison result. The system includes a speech recognition module, and a data base for storing the list of entries and the fragmented list. The speech recognition module may obtain the fragmented list from the data base and store a candidate list of best matching entries in memory. A display may also be provided to allow the user to select from a list of best matching entries.

Abstract:
The invention provides a process for producing a polymer mixture, which process is characterized in that nanoscale agglomerates of dendritic polymers having a molar mass of between 400 and 100 000 g/mol are formed by lowering the temperature to below the upper critical solution temperature or raising the temperature to above the lower critical solution temperature of the system in a polymer matrix, and the system is converted into the solid aggregate state by polymerization, temperature change, UV curing, pressure lowering, heat treatment or evaporation of volatile components of the system.
