A multicast architecture may support flexible change between unicast and multicast operations and may support additional traffic types (e.g., Internet Protocol and Ethernet traffic). For example, the multicast architecture may include transmitting data over a shared multicast radio bearer (MRB) and/or specific data radio bearers (DRBs), a multicast user plane function (UPF) for supplying the multicast data to a base station, multicast data from different radio access networks (RANs), protecting the multicast data through creating a group key, ciphering the multicast data sent on the MRB using the group key, and transitioning the multicast data from a source RAN to a target RAN.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An aerial vehicle (a transmitting device) may transmit control information that indicates a message type of a message. The message type may be one of multiple aerial vehicle broadcast message types, such as an aerial vehicle-to-aerial vehicle message type or an aerial vehicle-to-terrestrial user equipment (UE) message type. The transmitting device may transmit the message to a receiving device (e.g., another aerial vehicle or a terrestrial UE) in accordance with the indicated message type. For example, the transmitting device may transmit an aerial vehicle-to-aerial vehicle message to another nearby aerial vehicle or an aerial vehicle-to-terrestrial UE message to a terrestrial UE. As such, a receiving device may be aware of a message type and determine whether to decode the message accordingly.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a mechanism to enable interworking between fifth generation system (5GS) network slicing and evolved packet core (EPC) connectivity. In an example, techniques are provided for existing packet data unit (PDU) sessions that provide connectivity to a network slice from a set of network slices. Connectivity to the network slice is in response to a user equipment (UE), that uses network slices, moving between a 5G network and a 4G network. The existing PDU sessions are connected to a dedicated EPC core network that supports the same services provided by the network slice.

The connectivity context and service context may be established at different network nodes or entities. In one aspect of the disclosure, a connectivity context includes an Evolved Packet System (EPS) Mobility Management (EMM) context or both an EMM context and an EPS Session Management (ESM) context.

摘要: One aspect relates to initiating, by a device, a connection with an application server associated with one or more application services. A gateway derives an uplink network token and/or a downlink network token. The tokens are provisioned to the device and/or an application server over the user-plane. The tokens are included with uplink and/or downlink packets, respectively. Another aspect relates to receiving a data packet at a gateway. The gateway determines a requirement for a network token from the packet. The gateway derives the network token based on a device subscription profile maintained by a network. The network token may be sent with the packet to a destination address associated with the packet. A packet including a network token may be received at a gateway. The gateway may verify the network token and send the data packet to an application server or a device if the verifying is successful.

Generally, a network may establish a multiple access (MA) packet data unit (PDU) session for a local area data network (LADN) and may reconfigure a registration area to map to a LADN service area. A network may establish an MA PDU session for an LADN, but may steer traffic to only one of two access links. A network may reject a request for an MA PDU if it is for an LADN. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to trigger a UE registration update or other location information if it leaves an LADN service area while in an idle mode with one access network and a connected mode with the other access network. A UE may request LADN registration, and the network may provide the UE with an indication that MA PDU sessions for the LADN are not supported.

A wireless communication system may use access preferences to indicate a preferred access for communicating signaling for a control plane service. In some aspects, an AMF and a UE may establish access preferences for one or more control plane services and communicate signaling for the control plane service based on the established access preferences. In some cases, the UE may transmit modified access preferences for a control plane service to the AMF, and the UE and AMF may communicate signaling for the control plane service based on the modified access preferences. In some aspects, an AMF may also restrict the accesses used by a control plane service. A UE may also request that certain accesses are restricted for use by a control plane service.
