In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication that indicates whether a common search space (CSS) is associated with a first type of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or a second type of PDCCH. The first type of PDCCH may correspond to a cell-broadcast PDCCH and the second type of PDCCH may correspond to a UE-specific PDCCH. The CSS may be for downlink control information (DCI) with a cyclic redundancy check scrambled by a group radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) that schedules a multicast and broadcast service (MBS). The UE may receive, from the base station, the first type of PDCCH or the second type of PDCCH. Numerous other aspects are described.

The UE may receive an allocation of resources from the base station for an uplink grant or a downlink assignment and determine whether the resources have associated HARQ process without HARQ feedback but with HARQ retransmission, an associated HARQ process without HARQ feedback and without HARQ retransmission, or an associated HARQ process with HARQ feedback and with HARQ retransmission. The UE may exchange communication with the base station based on the allocation of resources and the determination of whether the resources have one of the associated HARQ processes.

The UE may synchronize an RLC AM reception window of the UE with the RLC AM transmission window based at least in part on determining the adjustment of the RLC AM transmission window of the base station. The RLC AM reception window may be associated with reassembly of RLC packets associated with the MRB. Numerous other aspects are provided.

A user equipment (UE) may selectively determine to decode a downlink shared channel multicast transmission based on whether the downlink shared channel includes a retransmission of an initial multicast transmission. A base station may transmit a message in a downlink control channel to indicate if the downlink shared channel is carrying the retransmission of the initial multicast transmission. For example, the base station may transmit a group random network temporary identifier, downlink control information with a retransmission indicator bit, or both to indicate if the downlink shared channel is carrying the retransmission. In some cases, the message in the downlink control channel may be received at a layer one (L1) of the UE, and the downlink shared channel transmission may be decoded at L1 of the UE and sent to a layer two (L2) of the UE for processing.

A hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback may be disabled for the random access procedure. The UE may initiate a contention resolution window associated with the random access procedure for a first downlink data channel transmission of a set of downlink data channel transmissions associated with the random access procedure. The UE may receive, during the contention resolution window, the first downlink data channel transmission carrying a contention resolution medium access control-control element (MAC-CE). The UE may transmit acknowledgment information for the first downlink data channel transmission carrying the contention resolution MAC-CE based on an indication to enable the HARQ feedback.

摘要： Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to indicate a transmission scheme configuration for a message and whether the message is a retransmission or new transmission. In a first example, a base station may configure a subset of one or more feedback process identifiers (IDs) for multicast messages. In such cases, if a grant includes a feedback process ID associated with one of the reserved IDs, the message scheduled by the grant may be a retransmission of a multicast message. In a second example, feedback process IDs may be dynamically allocated to multicast or unicast messages via a corresponding grant. A message may be identified as a new transmission or retransmission of a unicast message or multicast message based on a combination of an ID associated with the grant and a new data indicator (NDI) of the grant.
