Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. One or more second user equipments (UEs) may determine to communicate with a third UE and perform route discovery techniques based on a sidelink relay operation. The third UE may determine to utilize a first UE to facilitate communicating with the third UE. The second UEs may transmit control signaling to the first UE indicating a request for one or more temporary identifications assigned to the second UEs, the third UE, or both. The first UE may generate the one or more temporary identifications and transmit the one or more temporary identifications to the second UEs and the third UE. The first UE may relay further communications associated with an end-to-end (E2E) link that include the one or more temporary identifications in a sidelink relay adaptation protocol (SRAP) header.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may receive one or more service data units (SDUs) at a layer two (L2) layer of the transmitting device. The transmitting device may encode, at the L2 layer, the one or more SDUs according to one or more network coding parameters to obtain at least one encoded protocol data unit (PDU), the one or more network coding parameters comprising a rateless code. The transmitting device may generate, for the at least one encoded PDU, at least one corresponding PDU header. The transmitting device may output the at least one encoded PDU and the at least one corresponding PDU header from the L2 layer to a lower layer of the transmitting device for transmission to one or more receiving devices.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) may be provided with wireless local area network (WLAN) identifiers associated with a public land mobile network (PLMN) for determining WLAN access points that support control plane termination at a fifth generation (5G) RAN for the PLMN. In another aspect, a network node may encapsulate system information in a broadcast message for transmission from a WLAN access point to a UE, and the UE may be configured to receive the system information from the WLAN access point in one or more modification periods. In yet another aspect, a network node may encapsulate a paging message for a broadcast or unicast transmission from a WLAN access point to a UE. In yet another aspect, UEs and network nodes may be configured to map traffic characteristics of traffic for a 5G bearer to WLAN access categories.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently collecting and reporting minimization of drive test (MDT) measurements for one or more radio access technology (RAT) types and/or for multiple base stations in a dual connectivity deployment. In one example, a user equipment (UE) may receive an MDT measurement configuration indicating a first RAT type for collecting measurements and a second RAT type for reporting measurements. In this example, the UE may use the measurement configuration to collect MDT measurements for the first RAT type, and the UE may report the MDT measurements to a base station associated with the second RAT. Further techniques for efficiently collecting and reporting MDT measurements in a dual connectivity deployment are also described herein.

Radio in-device coexistence in wideband system

Abstract: In some wireless systems (e.g., 5G new radio (NR) systems), a user equipment (UE) may experience coexistence interference when using collocated radio transceivers to simultaneously communicate using different radio access technologies (RATs). To mitigate the coexistence interference, the UE may transmit a configuration request to a base station, where the configuration request may identify that the UE is operating on multiple RATs and identify that the UE is experiencing coexistence interference. Aspects of the present disclosure may further provide techniques for coexistence interference mitigation in wideband systems by allowing the UE to indicate the specific bandwidth parts (BVVPs) that are impacted by IDC interference to the base station such that the network can resolve the IDC interference by reconfiguring the bandwidth, instead of performing inter-frequency handover or removing/deactivating affected SCells.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network entity may receive, from a relay node via a radio access link, information indicating a link layer identifier of the relay node associated with a relay service, wherein the relay node is associated with a radio access identifier. The network entity may configure a relay service with the relay node and a remote node using a mapping between the radio access identifier and the link layer identifier. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for paging based on a paging early indication (PEI). Particular aspects provide for a method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes determining a set of paging cycles for receiving paging information from a base station (BS), receiving a first paging early indicator (PEI) from the BS in a first paging cycle of the set of paging cycles, wherein the first PEI indicates whether the paging information will be transmitted to the UE in one or more second paging cycles of the set of paging cycles occurring after the first paging cycle, and receiving the paging information in the one or more second paging cycles based on the first PEI received in the first paging cycle.
