Abstract: An assembled battery has a battery block configured by stacking a plurality of single batteries, and fixing components fixing the plurality of the single batteries. The fixing components include a pair of end plates disposed at both ends in a stacked direction of the plurality of the single batteries, and a metal band making the plurality of the single batteries in a compressed state by coupling end parts of the pair of the end plates each other. Each of the pair of the end plates has a peripheral part and a central part. The pair of the end plates respectively contact both end single batteries located at both ends in the stacked direction at the peripheral parts, and are respectively separated from both end single batteries at the central parts.

Abstract: A motor includes a rotor and a stator. The stator is formed by laminating a plurality of magnetic thin strips each having a plurality of teeth parts. The magnetic thin strip includes an elliptical-shaped inner diameter part formed along tip end portions of the plural teeth parts. At least one magnetic thin strip in the laminated magnetic thin strips is shifted by a given angle with respect to other magnetic thin strips in a horizontal direction, and positions of all teeth parts of the laminated magnetic thin strips correspond to one another to reduce cogging torque.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a battery block that serves as a member that contains a plurality of battery cells, wherein if abnormal heat generation occurs, the resulting heat is evenly, rapidly, and efficiently distributed throughout the entire block, and the portions in which the battery cells are accommodated have high dimensional precision. The present invention provides a battery block that contains the following: a metal case that contains a plurality of pipe-shaped members; and battery cells accommodated, respectively, in said plurality of pipe-shaped members. The pipe-shaped members are joined to each other, forming a single unit, and join parts that join adjacent pipe-shaped members to each other are at least 70% as long as the pipe-shaped members themselves.

Abstract: A light emitting device includes a light source and a waveguide structure. The light source emits light having a directionality. The waveguide structure includes an optical waveguide and an exterior part. The optical waveguide has an incident end surface and an emission end surface, converts a wavelength of the light incident from the incident end surface, and emits the light from the emission end surface. The exterior part is optically transparent and covers the optical waveguide such that the incident end surface and the emission end surface are exposed from the exterior part. The optical waveguide is elongated in a length direction. The length direction of the optical waveguide is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to an optical axis of the light in a predetermined plane including the length direction of the optical waveguide and the optical axis of the light. The predetermined angle is set to allow the light to propagate in the optical waveguide with total internal reflection at a boundary surface between the optical waveguide and the exterior part.

Abstract: An iron core including a laminate of a plurality of fixed electromagnetic steel sheets, a laminate of alloy thin strips which is sandwiched between the laminate of the electromagnetic steel sheets, a fastening mechanism which penetrates the laminates of electromagnetic steel sheets and alloy thin strips, and a fixing base. The laminate of alloy thin strips reduces compressive and torsional forces acting on the laminate of alloy thin strips by using the iron core having a structure in which upper and lower portions of a laminate of alloy thin strips having nanocrystal grains are sandwiched together with laminates of amorphous alloy thin strips. Furthermore, a motor including a rotor and the above-described iron core is used.
