Abstract: A display system includes a display device, an optical device, and an operation receiver. The display device is switchable between an emitting state where first image light is allowed to be emitted from the display device and a non-emitting state where the first image light is not allowed to be emitted from the display device. The optical device is switchable between a reflecting state where light coming from a back of the mobile body is reflected from the optical device and a transmitting state where the light passes through the optical device. The operation receiver switches between a first mode where the display device is in the emitting state while the optical member is in the transmitting state and a second mode where the display device is in the non-emitting state while the optical member is in the reflecting state.

Abstract: An imaging apparatus in an embodiment includes lens optical systems each including a lens whose surface closest to the target object is shaped to be convex toward the target object, imaging regions which respectively face the lens optical systems and output a photoelectrically converted signal corresponding to an amount of light transmitting the lens optical systems and received by the imaging regions, and a light-transmissive cover which covers an exposed portion of the lens of each of the lens optical systems and a portion between the lens of one of the lens optical systems and the lens of another one of the lens optical systems adjacent to the one of the lens optical systems, the cover having a curved portion which is convex toward the target object. The optical axes of the lens optical systems are parallel to each other.

Abstract: A display system includes: a display element that includes a display surface through which light showing an image is emitted; a concave mirror that reflects the light emitted through the display surface of the display element; and an optical element that includes a wave plate and a transmissive polarizing plate that is a polarizing element, the optical element facing the concave mirror. The concave mirror and the optical element are each provided separately from the display element. The optical element (i) transmits reflected light resulting from the light emitted through the display surface of the display element being reflected by the concave mirror, and (ii) reflects light from outside off a surface of the optical element, the surface facing the concave mirror, the light from the outside entering the optical element from a side through which the reflected light exits, and being reflected by the concave mirror.

Abstract: A display system includes: a display device; a reflection optical system; a housing; and a shield member. The reflection optical system includes at least a last reflective member on which light, emerging from a display screen of the display device, is incident either directly or indirectly. The shield member is held by the housing to assume either a shielding state or an unshielding state. The shielding state is a state where the shield member at least partially cuts off light incident on, or reflected from, the last reflective member. The unshielding state is a state where the shielding state is canceled. The shield member in the shielding state reflects, toward the viewer's eyes, external light impinging on the housing. The housing has a holding structure to hold the shield member, no matter whether the shield member assumes the shielding state or the unshielding state.

Abstract: A display system according to the present disclosure includes at least a first reflective surface and a second reflective surface on an optical path leading from a display device to a last reflective surface. The first reflective surface reflects a light beam emerging from the display device toward the second reflective surface. The second reflective surface reflects, toward the last reflective surface, the light beam reflected from the first reflective surface. The light beam emerging from the display device travels along a first optical path leading from a display screen of the display device to the first reflective surface and then travels along a second optical path leading from the second reflective surface to the last reflective surface. The first optical path and the second optical path intersect with each other before the light beam impinges on the last reflective surface.

Abstract: An imaging apparatus comprises a lens optical system including a lens and having first through nth optical regions (n is an integer equal to or greater than 2), an image sensor including pixel groups each including first through nth pixels, an optical element array disposed between the lens optical system and the image sensor and including optical components each guiding light that has passed through the first through nth optical regions to the respective first through nth pixels in each of the pixel groups, and an optical absorption member on which light reflected by the imaging surface of the image sensor is incident. The optical absorptance of the optical absorption member is substantially uniform across the entire wavelength bands of light that passes through the first through nth optical regions and is substantially uniform across the entire optical absorption member.

Abstract: Provided is a digital mirror apparatus including: a camera that captures an image of a user; a display having a display surface located at a position that allows the user to visually identify the display; a controller; a memory; and a control panel operable by the user, wherein the controller: horizontally flips a live image of the user that is being captured by the camera to generate a mirror image; reads a reference image to be compared with the mirror image; superimposes the reference image on the mirror image to display on the display a display image in a region of the display in which the reference image and the mirror image overlap one another; and stores one frame of the live image in the memory, based on an operation performed on the control panel by the user while the display image is displayed on the display.
