Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm and a mirror head having a mirror reflective element. An electrically-operated actuator includes a first attachment element that attaches at an actuator-mounting bracket of the mounting arm and a second attachment element that attaches at the mirror head. The actuator is electrically operated to cause adjustment of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm about first and second pivot axes. A mounting post of the mounting arm passes through an opening of the mirror head, the opening providing clearance between the mirror head and the mounting arm to allow movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm during electrical operation of the actuator when the base mounting portion of the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is mounted at a side of a vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror system includes an exterior rearview mirror assembly configured for attachment at a vehicle and an electrically-operable actuator. An exterior mirror head is movable relative to an exterior portion of the vehicle via operation of the actuator. The exterior mirror head accommodates an exterior mirror reflective element attached at an attachment plate. A heater pad is disposed between the exterior mirror reflective element and the attachment plate. An outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element is exposed to and is viewable by a driver of the vehicle and is contactable. The attachment plate includes wall structure that spans a perimeter circumferential edge of the exterior mirror reflective element. No part of the exterior mirror head encroaches onto the outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element. No part of the exterior mirror head overlaps the outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling side-view mirrors, adjusting the side-view mirrors on the basis of a lane while a driving direction is changed, and provide a driver with changed viewing angles. Thereby, there are effects capable of securing a field of view of a driver for a lane for movement, improving a blind spot, providing the same viewing angle of the side-view mirrors as a straight driving situation, and an effect of enabling other vehicles with ease to prevent occurrence of an accident and to improve safety of the vehicle.

Abstract: A system and method for managing customized vehicle settings across multiple vehicles is disclosed. The system comprises a vehicle customization platform where a user customization profile with information about customized settings can be transferred to a customization management system within each of multiple vehicles that may be driven by a user with the user customization profile. The customized vehicle settings include seat position settings, horsepower settings, mirror position settings, climate settings, and audio system settings. Upon receiving the user customization profile, a customization management system passes customized settings to different vehicle control systems to automatically set the customized settings.

Abstract: A single arm telescoping mirror apparatus comprising a mirror base and mirror head. In one embodiment, a mirror base having a wear plate secured to a single support arm which frictionally engages a single telescoping tube of the mirror head. Furthermore, a mirror base having a roller assembly which frictionally engage the inner wall of a single telescoping tube of the mirror head. Frictional forces created minimize the telescopic or vibrational movement of the mirror head during use of a vehicle. In another aspect, a wear plate is secured to a single telescoping tube while, roller assemblies are attached to a support arm which frictionally engage ridges of the telescoping tube.
