The electrical power supplied from the power bus to the electric motor is varied, based on the one or more lubricant parameters, the power bus electrical state, and the one or more lubricant load states.

    摘要: A system and method are provided to selectively control lubricant supply flow to a rotating machine that is installed in an aircraft having ram air turbine that is movable between at least a deployed position and a stowed position. A controller determines at least when the ram air turbine is in the deployed position, and determining when rotational speed of the rotating machine exceeds a predetermined value. The electric motor driven lubrication pump is at least selectively energized to control the measured lubricant pressure to a predetermined minimum pressure at least when the ram air turbine is deployed and the rotational speed exceeds the predetermined value.

    摘要: An image forming device includes a web server, and serves applets to a communicatively coupled computer. The applets execute on the computer, and control one or more operations and/or monitor one or more conditions or sensors in the image forming device. An applet may provide detailed instructions to the computer user as a diagnostic program executes on the image forming device. A list of available applets may be served to the computer, and one or more applets served in response to a user's selection from the list. A decision tree may be served, and one or more applets served as the user advances through the decision tree. Serving the diagnostic applets from the image forming device alleviates the need for a field repair technician to carry a large suite of diagnostic software to diagnose and repair a plurality of models, years, and configurations of image forming devices.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for detecting a flameout of an operating turbomachine that is configured to receive a controlled flow of bleed air from a bleed air source and a controlled flow of fuel from a fuel source. A value of an operational parameter within the turbomachine is detected and a determination is made as to whether it has varied by a predetermined amount. If the operational parameter has varied by the predetermined amount, a flameout confirmation test is triggered. The flameout confirmation test includes holding the controlled flow of bleed air constant, commanding an increase in turbomachine speed, and confirming that a flameout has occurred by detecting that the controlled fuel flow to the turbomachine is at a maximum fuel flow limit and that actual turbomachine speed differs from the commanded turbomachine speed by a predetermined speed error.
