Abstract:
The present invention describes a tank for fluids under pressure and the manufacturing process thereof. The tank consists of two bottoms (3, 4) separated by a corrugated cylindric zone (2), the corrugated cylindric zone being circumferentially armed, and of a longitudinal reinforcement (7) placed on the total outer structure of the tank which, while reproducing the bottom effect, allows to reduce the thickness of the bottoms and to lighten the tank. The process describes the manufacturing of a circumferentially and longitudinally armed tank.
Abstract:
A tank or bottle including two end portions separated by a corrugated cylindrical body, with the corrugated cylindrical body being circumferentially reinforced. A longitudinal reinforcement is disposed along an entire outer surface of the tank with the exception of openings provided in the end portions for accommodating closure elements, whereby it is possible to reduce a thickness of the end portions and to reduce the overall weight of the tank.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for forming a pipe with a corrugated wall by means of the electroforming technique. The method comprises the stage of forming, possibly partial, on the circumference of the pipe over a length of about one pitch of the corrugation. The corrugated deformation of the pipe is obtained by step-by-step forming after moving the forming mandrel longitudinally in the pipe. The invention also relates to a device for forming a corrugated pipe. In a variant, the device comprises a cylindrical mandrel on which a groove deepens over a circumference portion and continues at the depth of the corrugation to be formed.
Abstract:
A tube includes a tubular part of composite material with a thermosetting resin matrix. A metallic end coupling member is connected to one end of the tubular part and is engaged at least partially inside the tubular part. A tubular covering member of impermeable material is placed over the inner face of the tubular part and is integrally attached to the tubular part. An impermeable joint is formed between the end coupling member and the covering member. The inner face of the tubular part is covered by the end coupling member and the covering member.
Abstract:
A process for manufacturing a metallic tank involves placing a metallic inner sheath of average plastic strain having two ends separated via a cylindric zone within a cylindric corrugated tube having hollow outer parts provided with reinforcing elements and expanding the metallic inner sheath by compression to conform to the corrugated tube. In the process, a tube for preventing longitudinal buckling of the corrugated tube is placed around the assembly of the corrugated tube and the metallic sheath.
Abstract:
A device for continuously producing reinforced stabilizable profiled section bodies, with the device including a mandrel and a drive for rotationally driving the mandrel around the longitudinal axis thereof. The mandrel maintains at least one support of a profile section helically wound on the mandrel. A reinforcement impregnated with stabilizable material is wound around the mandrel and the at least one support. A stabilization arrangement is disposed on at least one portion of a length of the mandrel, and the reinforced material, having undergone stabilization, is separated from the mandrel. The support is wound onto a first extremity of the mandrel and separated from the mandrel at a second extremity. The first extremity of the mandrel includes a first elevated zone or calibration bearing surface on which the support is to be wound, with the bearing surface having a sufficient length to drive the support, through a capstan effect, while not impeding a progression of the support on the mandrel.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a hollow structure suitable for example as reservoir for pressurized fluids, which structure is obtained by curving over a part of its length a corrugated tube provided circumferentially in the hollow of its waves with a hardenable fiber reinforced composition, then subjecting the tube thus curved over at least a part of its length to a treatment for hardening the hardenable composition. The tube may comprise longitudinal reinforcements (braid or layers of widely spaced helical wires), the ends of the tube being possibly equipped with systems for communicating with the outside or for sealing, the final shaping being followed by a treatment for hardening said composition. The winding of the tube may be carried out about a central core or drum.
Abstract:
A lightweight structure for containing fluid under pressure, the structure having no inner seal sheath and including a cylindrical zone formed with a single sheath consisting of a composite material which avoids microcracking phenomena provided by differential pressure existing betweeen an environment surrounding the structure and the pressure of the fluid within the structure. The sealed sheath remains sealed up to a pressure that is very close to the burst pressure of the structure. The composite material is made up of a polyamide 12 matrix and of carbon fibers embedded in the matrix to withstand longitudinal and transverse components of the differential pressure.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and to a device for manufacturing parts made from resin and reinforcing fibers by winding. Molding means including a plurality of female forms corresponding each to a print of the part to be manufactured are produced. The forms are arranged one after the other, substantially helically, so as to make a continuous groove, then said groove is filled by winding with fibers coated with a polymerizable resin by rotating the prints round the axis of the helix.
Abstract:
A method and device for simultaneously producing a plurality of curved profiled reinforcement bars of a material stabilized by a mold helically wound on a mandrel, with the mold including a plurality of grooves in which are arranged reinforcing elements. The reinforcement bars are disposed on a support, with the support being moved when the bars are set in place to form an armature of a body. When the bars are produced in the mold with the plurality of grooves, the mold is used as a support part or a laying support.
