摘要: A method of extending the useful life of an aged selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst bed, which catalyses the conversion of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) to dinitrogen (N2) in the presence of a nitrogenous reductant, in the exhaust gas after treatment system of a stationary source of NOx so that the exhaust gas emitted to atmosphere from the system continues to meet proscribed limits for both NOx and ammonia emissions, which method comprising the step of retrofitting an additional honeycomb substrate monolith or a plate-type substrate comprising a catalyst (ASC) for converting ammonia in exhaust gas also containing oxygen to nitrogen and water downstream of the aged SCR catalyst bed, wherein the kNOx of the honeycomb substrate monolith comprising the catalyst for converting ammonia in exhaust gas also containing oxygen to nitrogen and water is greater than or equal to 80 m/hr between 300 and 400° C. inclusive, wherein kNOx of a sample of the catalyst, which has been aged at 450° C. in 10% H2O (as steam) in air for 48 hours, is determined by a SCR activity test in a laboratory scale reactor using a gas composition of 50 ppm CO, 30 ppm NO, 36 ppm NH3, 15% O2, 8% water, 3% CO2, balance N2.

摘要: A method of selectively catalysing the reduction of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) including nitrogen monoxide in an exhaust gas of a stationary source of NOx emissions also containing oxides of sulfur (SOx) comprising the steps of passively oxidising nitrogen monoxide to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) over an oxidation catalyst comprising a platinum group metal so that a NO2/NOx content is from 40-60%; introducing a nitrogenous reductant into the exhaust gas; and contacting exhaust gas having the 40-60% NO2/NOx content and containing the nitrogenous reductant with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst comprising an aluminosilicate zeolite promoted with copper.

The values expressed must total 100%.

摘要: The present invention refers to a method for the preparation of a shell type catalyst for mercury oxidation, the catalyst and the use of the catalyst. The catalyst is prepared by a method comprising mixing titanium dioxide, a compound of a promoter selected from molybdenum and tungsten, and a binder, to prepare a paste; shaping the paste, to obtain a shaped paste; drying and optionally calcining the shaped paste, to obtain a support material; impregnating the support material with an aqueous alkaline impregnation solution comprising a vanadium compound; drying and calcining the impregnated support material, to obtain the catalyst. The catalyst is useful for purifying exhaust gases from coal plants and other power plants where mercury emissions occurs.
