Abstract:
The invention relates to a separable device for the application of compression and thermal therapy to a patient. A first section includes a reservoir, liquid pump and a thermal exchange system for the application of thermal therapy as well as a dock. The second section of the device includes an air compressor and at least one controller for the application of compression therapy and can be operated independently from the first section. Additionally, the second section may be engaged with a dock of the first section.
Abstract:
An optoelectronic device includes a first electrode, a quantum dot layer disposed on the first electrode including a plurality of quantum dots, a fullerene layer disposed directly on the quantum dot layer wherein the quantum dot layer and the fullerene layer form an electronic heterojunction, and a second electrode disposed on the fullerene layer. The device may include an electron blocking layer. The quantum dot layer may be modified by a chemical treatment to exhibit increased charge carrier mobility.
Abstract:
The above objectives are accomplished according to the present invention by providing a filter medium for operating environments needing static electricity dissipation to help reduce ignition sources comprising: a substrate of non-woven felt including a polymeric fiber; a conductive scrim having a grid of conductive filaments adjacent to said substrate layer; and, a top layer of non-woven felt including a polymeric fiber and copolymer fiber blend having a melt temperature greater than 100° C. wherein said substrate layer, said conductive scrim and said top layer are manufactured into said filter medium by mechanical web formation.
Abstract:
A mobile device management (“MDM”) server coordinates firmware over-the-air (“FOTA”) updates for mobile devices utilizing presence information. In accordance with some the concepts and technologies disclosed herein, a MDM server utilizes presence information for a subscriber obtained from a presence server to determine when it is appropriate to initiate a MDM session with the subscriber's mobile device over which to deliver a FOTA package to the subscriber's mobile device.
Abstract:
An intelligent abbreviated dialing feature can use a portion of a phone number as a shortcut to dialing. Any portion of a phone number can be input into a communications device such as by pressing buttons on the keypad or speaking into a microphone. A processor in the communications device or on a network accessible by the communications device can generate the phone number register from frequently dialed numbers. The processor can compare the input into the communications device against the phone number register. For each digit of the phone number that is input into the communications device, the processor can search the phone numbers and provide search results with the corresponding numbers. A phone number can be selected from the search results and dialed.
Abstract:
A system and method for determining an SMS retransmission schedule is provided. When a special error code is received by an SMSC, the SMSC can calculate the response time. The response time is the time that lapsed between forwarding the SMS message for delivery and receiving an error code. If the response time exceeds a response time threshold, the error code can be considered as falsely generated. A special retransmission schedule can be assigned to the SMS message. If the response time does not exceed a response time threshold, a different retransmission schedule can be assigned to the SMS message.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for providing user names for network addresses in messages such as SMS, MMS and EMS are disclosed. A data base is provided for storage in a mobile device that associates a user name with at least a portion of a network address. A system is provided for a mobile device that converts the network address transmitted with the message into a user name and displays the message with the user name.
