摘要:
A method and system are herein disclosed for registering a member at a targeted web-based information management system using a reduced amount of member and system interaction to confirm and establish the member's contact information. Generally, the method may communicate permission to solicit a potential member to the information management system. In one embodiment, the member previously communicated permission to receive solicitations from other systems to another web-based information management system. The method may communicate the permission from another web-based system to the present system. The permission may include member identification and/or demographic data. The method may communicate a solicitation message from the system to the member, the solicitation message comprising at least a portion of the member identification data. The member may then communicate a confirmation message to the targeted web-based information management system, wherein the confirmation message is in reply to the solicitation message and includes the portion of the member identification data. Using the confirmation, the system may then match the portion of the member identification data from the confirmation message to the portion of the member identification data from the confirmation message.

The present disclosure relates to devices and methods of converting a bicycle frame from a mechanical gear-shifting configuration to an electronic gear-shifting configuration and vice versa. In a representative embodiment, a method of converting a bicycle frame from a mechanical gear-shifting configuration to an electronic gear-shifting configuration comprises removing a mechanical cable extending between a mechanical gear-shift actuator and a mechanical gear shifter via a cable stop of a removable bracket member secured to a down tube member of the bicycle frame, and removing the removable bracket member from the down tube member of the bicycle frame. The method further comprises mounting an electronically-actuated gear shifter to the bicycle frame in electrical communication with an electronic gear-shift actuator such that actuation of the electronic gear-shift actuator causes the electronically-actuated gear shifter to shift gears.

A valveless, pulsatile, non-contact, positive displacement, finger-pump for pumping one or more fluids is disclosed. The pump can include one or more channels for holding one or more lengths of flexible tubing. The channels can include an adjustment mechanism and/or a resilient backing plate to reduce over compression of the tubing. The pump can utilize a plurality of profiled, pivoting fingers to sequentially occlude a length of tubing causing a pumping action. The fingers can be moved from the first position to the second position by a motor driven camshaft. Cam lobes disposed on the camshaft can be a modified eccentric design to improve tube occlusion and pump efficiency. At least one cam lobe can completely occlude the tubing at all times during operation to prevent backflow. The fingers can alternatively be moved from the first position to the second position by a variety of linear actuators.

A method is disclosed whereby levels of calcium, phosphate and parathyroid hormone are measured in a patient. The patient is treated with a formulation comprising a compound having phosphotonin activity and thereafter measurements are made again. Dosing of the formulation is adjusted based on measurements with measuring, administering and adjusting dosing continually repeated as needed.

It has now been found that certain novel N-(substituted aryl)-4-(disubstituted methyl)piperidine and pyridine derivatives have provided unexpected insecticidal activity. These compounds are represented by formula (I): wherein m, n, q, r, and s are independently selected from 0 or 1; and p is 0, 1, 2, or 3; A is CH or N; and B, D, E, R, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 are fully described herein. In addition, compositions comprising an insecticidally effective amount of at least one compound of formula I, and optionally, an effective amount of at least one of a second compound, with at least one insecticidally compatible carrier are also disclosed; along with methods of controlling insects comprising applying said compositions to a locus where insects are present or are expected to be present.

As disclosed herein, the present invention provides for kits and a composition for diagnosis, prognosis, drug discovery, drug development, and patient stratification. The kits can comprise a plurality of binding elements for cell surface markers, and a plurality of binding elements for state-specific intracellular markers. The kits can further comprise a plurality of modulators directed for the particular cell function or signaling pathways. The kits can further include fixatives, permeabilizing agent, buffers, containers, instructions, and software for data analysis/compilation.
