    Abstract: The invention relates to compositions which contain a chlorofluorinated ether and at least one solvent, and their use in thermal absorption apparatus for the generation of heat or cold.In the compositions according to the invention, the chlorofluorinated ether is 1-difluoromethoxy-1,1,2-trifluoro-2-chloroethane (enflurane: CF.sub.2 H--O--CF.sub.2 CHFCl) and the solvent is selected among aromatic esters and .omega.,.omega.'-dialkylated polyoxyethylene glycols.The present invention can be particularly applied in the heating and refrigeration areas using absorption systems such as, for example, heat pumps.

    Abstract: Process for producing cold and/or heat, making use of an absorption cycle and wherein carbon dioxide is the working fluid, comprising the steps of:(a) heating a solution L.sub.1 of carbon dioxide in a liquid solvent so as to obtain a carbon dioxide gaseous phase G.sub.1 and a desorbed liquid phase S.sub.1,(b) dissolving said gaseous phase in a liquid solvent S.sub.2 therefor while removing the evolved heat,(c) heating under reduced pressure the solution obtained in step b so as to desorb a carbon dioxide phase G.sub.2 therefrom and form a desorbed liquid phase S.sub.3,(d) admixing S.sub.1 and G.sub.2 at the pressure level of G.sub.2 while removing heat and increasing the pressure of the resulting solution L.sub.3 to the pressure of L.sub.1 and recycling it at least partially to step a, and(e) recycling at least a portion of S.sub.3 to step b after recompression to the pressure level of G.sub.1, in order to reconstitute S.sub.2.

    Abstract: The invention concerns non-azeotropic fluid mixtures useful in compression thermodynamic cycles, for example in heat pumps, comprising R23, R142b and optionally a fluid (c) other than R23 or R142b, selected from the group formed of methane and ethane halogenated compounds having a boiling point from -85 to +60.degree. C., in such molar proportions that the R23/R142b ratio range from 0.01:1 to 1.10:1 and the (R23+R142b)/(R23+R142b +c) molar ratio from 0.26:1 to 1:1.The mixtures according to the invention can be used as working fluid for heat pumps whose fluid circulates through an evaporator (E.sub.1), a compressor (K.sub.1), a condenser (E.sub.2) and a pressure reducer (D.sub.1). The thermal exchanges take place respectively with external fluids (5,6) and (7,8).The mixtures according to the invention may supply heat to the condenser at a temperature from +50 to +100.degree.     Abstract: A duct mounting fixture for securing a duct to a generally channel-shaped support section having right angle flanges at distal ends of legs or sidewalls is disclosed. The mounting fixture includes a base plate having an outer surface defining a bearing surface for an endwall of a duct, an aperture for a latch member in a middle zone of the outer surface of the base plate, the latch member extending through an opening in the endwall of the duct and grip the endwall. Two pairs of retaining teeth are disposed on the underside of said base plate and selectively cooperable with right angle flanges on different omega- and G-shaped supports. The pairs of retaining teeth are perpendicular to each other and arranged in a generally rectangular array. Thin deformable webs on the retaining teeth restrain the fixture against inadvertent sliding movement on the support section, and thin deformable webs between the head and shank of the latch member compensate for the thickness of the duct endwall.
