    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for encoding image data, the method including intra-predicting, or predicting by combining inter-prediction and intra-prediction, a first block of the image data by using an intra-prediction mode using a first single transformation obtained by taking account of the first block size. The disclosure also relates to a method for encoding image data, a variable coding length being used for signaling a plurality of Prediction Modes by the encoding, the method comprising:—intra-predicting a first block of the image data by using an intra-prediction mode using a first transformation, the first transformation being obtained by taking account of the first block size, —encoding information signaling a use of the intra-prediction mode in a bitstream, the information being encoded as one of the plurality of Prediction Modes.     Abstract: A lossless coding mode is proposed in a video coding system comprising a plurality of coding tools, some being lossy by design, some of which can be adapted to become lossless or near lossless. To enable a lossless mode in such system, it is proposed to disable the tools that are lossy by design and use only lossless tools, to adapt some tools to enable lossless coding, and adapt some tools to enable near-lossless coding so that a secondary lossless coding may be applied after residual coding. In some embodiments, a type of residual coding is determined by, when an information indicates that a transform skip residual coding is used, obtaining a flag representative of a special mode, and when this flag is true, determine that regular residual coding must be used instead of the transform skip residual coding that should be used.

    Abstract: A video coding system handling at least a block of at least an image of a video comprises an encoding process and decoding process respectively providing or using signaling information related to the video, wherein the signaling information comprises at least an information representative of the presence of chroma offset values, wherein when chroma is present and does not use separate color planes, the information representative of the presence of chroma offset values is set and the signaling information further comprises information representative of a chroma offsets values and wherein when chroma is not present or uses separate color planes, the information representative of the presence of chroma offset values is reset and no information representative of a chroma offsets values is further signaled.

    Abstract: To encode a coding unit in the inter modes, there exist multiple inter modes that signal the motion information using a Motion Vector Predictor (MW) list. The MW lists for different coding modes include spatial predictors. In one embodiment, for all coding modes that use MVP lists, the top spatial predictor is first added to the motion vector predictor list before the left spatial predictor. In another embodiment, a subset of coding modes adds the top spatial predictor before the left spatial predictor, and another subset of coding modes adds the left spatial predictor before the top spatial predictor. For example, all merge modes add the top spatial predictor first, and all AMVP modes add the left spatial predictor first. In another example, all non-sub-block modes add the top spatial predictor first, and all sub-block modes add the left spatial predictor first.
