    摘要: An optical glass for the manufacture of large transmission optics, such as lenses having a thickness of 100 millimeters or more, comprises 35 to 70 wt.-% SiO2, 17 to 35 wt.-% Al2O3, 3 to 17 wt.-% P2O5, 0 to 6 wt.-% Li2O, 0.5 to 4 wt.-% MgO, 0.5 to 3 wt.-% ZnO, a maximum of 1 wt.-% CaO, a maximum of 0.5 wt.-% BaO, 0.5 to 6 wt.-% TiO2, 0.5 to 3 wt.-% ZrO2, 0 to 1 wt.-% Na2O, 0 to 1 wt.-% K2O, a maximum of 1 wt.-% of refining agents (As2O3, SP2O3) and a maximum of 500 ppm of other contaminants. The glass composition may be equal to the composition of the glass ceramic Zerodur® and allows to manufacture large transmission optics in a cost-effective way, has a maximum of transmittance which is in the range of a He—Ne lasers and has a CTE of about 3·10−6/K.

    摘要: A lead and cadmium free glass for decorating and enamelling glasses or glass-ceramics having a small coefficient of thermal expansion is disclosed comprising the following components (in wt.-%): Σ (Li2O+Na2O+K2O) 0 to 10, Σ (MgO+CaO+SrO)≧0.1, SiO2>65. Preferably, the glass according to the invention is mixed as a glass frit with pigments, fillers and other additions and applied to glasses or glass-ceramics having a very small thermal expansion. Bending strengths of more than 70 MPa can be reached, in particular when coating substrates made of lithium aluminum silicate glass-ceramics.

    摘要: A process for the production of a glass-ceramic comprises the following steps: a) providing a mixture comprising at least SiO2, Al2O3, BaO and TiO2, b) melting the mixture in order to produce a glass phase, c) cooling the glass phase, and d) ceramicizing the glass phase. In the process, the glass phase is heated over the course of at most 5 minutes, preferably over the course of at most 3 minutes, to a temperature in the region of the crystallization temperature of Ba1-xZ1xTi1-yZ2yO3, whereby Z1 is an element selected from the group consisting of Sr, Ca, Ce, Pb, La and Sm, whereby Z2 is an element selected from the group consisting of Zr, Hf, Nb, V, Y, Sc and Ta, and whereby x and y are each independently of one another 0≦x,y≦0.5, preferably 0≦x,y≦0.1, but substantially below the crystallization temperature of Ba[Al2Si2O8].
