    摘要: The present invention is a method of producing maltose of high purity from starch, in which starch is saccharified by .beta.-amylase and .alpha.-amylase and/or .alpha.-1, 6-glucosidase thereby making saccharified liquor containing less than 0.5% of glucose, 60.about.85% of maltose, less than 5% of maltotriose together with by-products such as oligo-saccharide and dextrin. And then this liquor is passed through the columns filled with granular active carbons, which have a peak of micropore diameter distribution of above and below 25 A respectively, under the condition of Special velocity (SV) below 2 thereby removing dextrin and oligosaccharide and thus producing maltose of high purity.

    摘要: There is provided a male contact having improved electrical contact reliability with a female contact. The male contact has a mating section capable of being formed compactly using a plate member having a plate thickness satisfying a desired strength requirement. The male contact 1 has a mating section 10 formed in such a manner that two plate members 11 and 12, which individually extend from a base 20, are superimposed on one another by folding on the base 20. The mating section 10 has flat sections 15 extending in a mating direction P, wherein outer surfaces of the two plate members 11-1 and 12-1 are formed flat. A tip 13 of one of the two plate members 12 is folded to overlap a tip 14 of the other plate member 11. This feature makes it hard to open the plate members 11 and 12 when the male contact is mated with the female contact.

The locking device (20) has a pair of beams (78) extending downward obliquely to each other and having notches (78a) in surfaces facing each other. The notches have shoulders which engage against a wedge-shaped rib (90) of the housing (2); the shape of the notches (78a) corresponds to the shape of the rib (90). Therefore, the locking device (20) cannot be inserted in the housing even by force. When mating connector (200) is coupled with connector (1), rib (230) spreads the beams (78) releasing the engagement between the notches (78a) and the rib (90), thus making it possible to insert the locking device (20) to a fully-engaged position.
