    摘要: The method of making a stabilized starch includes mixing an aqueous starch suspension having a starch concentration of from 5 to 50 % by weight with an aqueous metal salt solution which contains from 10 to 50 % by weight of at least one metal salt selected from the group consisting of TiOSO.sub.4, TiOCl.sub.2, Al.sub.2 (SO.sub.4).sub.3, NaAlO.sub.2, Fe(NO.sub.3).sub.3, FeSO.sub.4, ZnCl.sub.2, Na.sub.2SiO.sub.3, SbCl.sub.3, ZrOSO.sub.4, ZrOCl.sub.2, MgCl.sub.2 and SnCl.sub.4 with a starch-suspension-to-metal-salt-solution ratio of from 1:5 to 10:1, to form a mixture having a pH of from 3 to 10 and containing the stabilized starch; and after the mixing of step a), separating the stabilized starch from the mixture and washing and drying it. The starch suspension preferably contains starch particles having a particle size of from 1 to 150 microns.

    摘要: Sucrose which is found in molasses such as beet molasses or cane molasses may be selectively extracted therefrom by passing an aqueous solution of the molasses over a solid adsorbent such as activated carbon. The sucrose will be selectively adsorbed thereon and separated from the betaine and mineral salts, specifically potassium chloride, in the molasses. The sucrose is then removed from the adsorbent by treatment with a desorbent material comprising an alcohol. An essential step in the process is the flushing of the desorbent from the adsorbent with water prior to the subsequent contact of the adsorbent with the feed stream.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a method for the separation of a mixed glucose-fructose solution into glucose and fructose by using a strongly acidic cation exchange resin of alkaline earth metal type and, more particularly, such method for the separation of glucose and fructose wherein said mixed glucose-fructose solution and water are supplied to and circulated through a bed of said cation exchange resin at least twice for increasing the distance between a zone of adsorption for glucose and a zone of adsorption for fructose that are formed in this way in the bed and, after such preliminary procedure, the glucose fraction and the fructose fraction of the effluent liquid are removed spotwise from the system while the remaining effluent fractions are again circulated in the order of efflux; at this time, the mixed glucose-fructose solution is injected spotwise into a portion of the liquid flow where the fructose content ratio is approximately equal to or slightly lower than that of the mixed glucose-fructose liquid, and water is injected into a portion of the liquid flow corresponding to the dilute fructose liquid, by way of such separation procedure, the latter step being carried out several times on end for sequentially taking out liquid glucose and fructose.

    摘要: The present invention is a method of producing maltose of high purity from starch, in which starch is saccharified by .beta.-amylase and .alpha.-amylase and/or .alpha.-1, 6-glucosidase thereby making saccharified liquor containing less than 0.5% of glucose, 60.about.85% of maltose, less than 5% of maltotriose together with by-products such as oligo-saccharide and dextrin. And then this liquor is passed through the columns filled with granular active carbons, which have a peak of micropore diameter distribution of above and below 25 A respectively, under the condition of Special velocity (SV) below 2 thereby removing dextrin and oligosaccharide and thus producing maltose of high purity.
