Abstract:
In a broad form the present invention relates to a method for oxidation of a species comprising sulfur in an oxidation state below +4, such as H2S, CS2, COS and S8 vapor, to SO2 said method comprising the step of contacting the gas and an oxidant with a catalytically active material consisting of one or more elements taken from the group consisting of V, W, Ce, Mo, Fe, Ca, Mg, Si, Ti and Al in elemental, oxide, carbide or sulfide form, optionally with the presence of other elements in a concentration below 1 wt %, at a temperature between 180° C. and 290° C., 330° C., 360° C. or 450° C., with the associated benefit of such a temperature being highly energy effective, and the benefit of said elements having a low tendency to form sulfates under the conditions, with the related benefit of an increased stability of the catalytically active material. The other elements present may be catalytically active noble metals or impurities in the listed materials.
Abstract:
Process for cleaning an off-gas containing sulphur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter employing SOx adsorption and ammonia-SCR in one filtration unit, in particular a filter bag house with one or more catalysed fabric filter assemblies.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a gas treatment monolith article, said gas treatment article comprising: a full body porous material comprising a porous substrate and an aluminium oxide coating homogeneously distributed throughout said porous substrate, wherein said porous substrate is a fibrous material; and at least one acid gas absorption active component or a precursor thereof impregnated into said porous aluminium oxide coated substrate. The invention further relates to uses of the gas treatment monolith article of the invention.

Abstract:
Ceramic candle filter and use of the filter in the removal of particulate matter in form of soot, ash, metals and metal compounds, together with hydrocarbons and optionally nitrogen oxides being present in process off-gas or engine exhaust gas, wherein a noble metal comprising catalyst is arranged on the permeation side of the filter and/or on the dispersion side of the filter and/or within wall of the filter, said noble metal comprising catalyst contains a noble metal in an amount of between 20 and 1000 ppm/weight of the filter.
Abstract:
Catalyzed filter consisting of a filter body of bio-soluble fibers catalyzed with a catalyst comprising oxides of vanadium and titanium, wherein the total concentration of alkali metals in the filter body is less than 3000 ppm by weight and/or the total concentration of alkali earth metals in the filter body is less than 20% by weight.
