摘要： Closure liner, i.e., innerseal, comprising a pressure-activated adhesive that is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile. The copolymer has a single glass transition temperature of no higher than about -25.degree. C., a nitrile content of no greater than about 31% by weight, preferably of from about 18% by weight to about 30% by weight, a Mooney viscosity of at least 95 (measured according to ASTM D1646-87 at 100.degree. C. for 4 minutes), preferably from about 120 to about 150. The copolymer is not cross-linked, and the amount of vinyl groups in the copolymer should not exceed 10% by weight.

摘要： A substrate is coated with a polyvinylpyrrolidone-polyurethane interpolymer. In the method, a polyisocyanate and a polyurethane in a solvent such as methyl ethyl ketone are applied to a substrate and the solvent evaporated. If the substrate is a polyurethane, only the polyisocyanate need be employed. Polyvinylpyrrolidone in a solvent is then applied to the treated substrate and the solvent evaporated. The invention is applied, for example, to a tube such as a catheter, a condom and a peristaltic pump tube.

In one preferred embodiment, the receptor layer comprises a polymer of ethylene, n-butylacrylate, and methacrylic acid. In another preferred embodiment, the receptor layer comprises a blend of 60 to 90 percent by weight of a polymer comprising ethylene, n-butylacrylate, and methacrylic acid and about 10 to 40 percent by weight of a neutralized ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer.

The indicator includes an organic retainer that maintains a plunger in a retracted position until the material from which the retainer is constructed yields.
