摘要: A closure assembly for a medical container having a sleeve with a tip cap disposed therein in an accessible position relative to an access opening. A cover is fixedly secured to one end of said sleeve, opposite to said access opening and a retainer is fixedly secured within the sleeve, adjacent the cover and in a removably retaining engagement with the tip cap. The removably retaining engagement includes the retainer having one or more segments disposed in retaining engagement with an exterior of the tip cap. Upon detachment of the tip cap from the retainer and the removal thereof from the sleeve, the one or more segments are separable from one another and/or a remainder of the retainer, while being maintained in a captured position within the sleeve.

摘要: A bottle-shaped resin container with a bottle body and a cap, the container being configured to determine whether the seal has been broken by: the container having a long, tall cylindrical section between a neck ring and a flange that connects the neck ring and the flange; and when the cap body is rotated in the unscrewing direction, bridges being broken and the cap ring separating from the cap body and falling by its own weight so that the lower surface thereof contacts the flange and remains above the flange, exposing the side surface of the long, tall cylindrical-section between the upper surface of the cap ring and the lower surface of the neck ring. As the side surface of the long, tall cylindrical section is a straight line when viewed from the front, it is possible to determine the taper angle definitively and the taper angle is 60-80 degrees.

摘要: A unified dispenser for holding, mixing, and dispensing a drug includes a housing holding a diluent reservoir, a drug reservoir, and a tubing set connecting and defining a fluid communication path therebetween. A first occlusion is at the diluent reservoir, and a second occlusion is at the drug reservoir. In a storage state of the dispenser, the first and second occlusions are entirely encased within the housing and occlude the fluid communication path. First and second pull assemblies extend outside the housing. The first and second pull assemblies are coupled to the first and second occlusions, respectively, so that removal of the first and second pull assemblies removes the first and second occlusions and joins the diluent reservoir to the drug reservoir in fluid communication through the tubing set, thereby arranging the dispenser from the storage state to a use state.

摘要: The inventions disclosed herein include a clear cap and tamper-indicating seal combination, a translucent cap and seal combination, an improved cap embodying a raised ridge for providing a contact surface on the top of the cap, among other inventions. The preferred cap is at least partially non-opaque to allow a customer to perceive the tamper-indicating seal through the cap at the point of purchase. In a first embodiment, the tamper-indicating seal serves as a label, wherein the customer can perceive, through the cap, information such as printing which is indicative of the contents of the container. In a second embodiment, the tamper-indicating seal serves as a tamper evident seal, wherein the customer can perceive, through the cap, at the point of purchase, whether the seal has been breached. In a third embodiment, the tamper-indicating seal serves as both a label and a seal, wherein the tamper-indicating seal creates a liquid resistant seal between the cap and the opening of the container. In a forth embodiment, the tamper-indicating seal serves as both a label and a tamper evident seal. In a fifth embodiment of the present invention, a cap is provided with a raised portion on a top surface of the cap for reducing the frictional surface area of the cap during capping operations.

摘要: A container closure assembly having a container neck and a closure for said container neck. The closure is retained on the container neck by a screw thread on at least one of the closure and the container neck. A sealing mechanism is provided for forming a seal between the closure and the container neck when the closure is at a sealing position on the container neck. Furthermore, there is an urging mechanism co-operating between the closure and the container neck when the closure is near the sealing position to urge the closure into the sealing position independently of whether an external closing torque is being applied to the closure, and thereafter the urging mechanism maintains the closure in the sealing position until a sufficient external release force is applied to the closure.

摘要: In accordance with the present invention, an irreversible tamper evident system for a closure such as a button closure is provided. The irreversible tamper evidence system is provided by an appearance change system carried by the flexible button portion of the closure. The appearance change system comprises a liquid crystal material and a liquid crystal poison. When the button is depressed such as upon initial closure of the container, the liquid crystal material is separated from the liquid crystal poison and optical properties of the liquid crystal material are viewable. When the container is opened the flexing the button forces the liquid crystal poison into contact with the liquid crystal material and the optical properties of the liquid crystal material are irreversibly altered.

摘要: A container closure includes a cap having depending interior tines in engagement with a tamper-indicating element and thereby moving the element into registry with a container access port. Load-sharing structure is incorporated in the cap to provide additive force for movement of the tamper-indicating element, such force being imposed on the element at a location spaced from the location of engagement of the tines and the element. The load-sharing structure may also provide for sealably reclosing the container upon opening of the closure and removal of the tamper-indicating element.

摘要: A tamper indicating closure for use with a container having a neck with an opening in which at least a portion of the closure is transparent. A destructible seal is bonded to the container neck providing a hermetic seal which is visible through the closure to indicate package integrity or tampering. In some embodiments, a transparent insert member is provided through which the seal element is visible, and after removal of the seal element, the insert member serves to reseal the closure to the container neck. In some embodiments, access is obtained to the container by unthreading and removing the closure from the container neck and puncturing the destructible seal element. In other embodiments, the seal element is bonded to the flat closure top or the insert so that the seal element is fractured upon initial opening movement of the closure to remove it from the container neck.
