    Abstract: In a cross section of a flow passage formed to conduct a flow of air from an inside/outside air box to an upper air passage of a scroll casing while the cross section of the flow passage is taken along an imaginary plane which includes an outer edge of an air guide plate and is parallel to a rotational axis of an impeller, a passage section, which is located on one radial side of a separation tube where a nose of the scroll casing is placed, is defined as a first opening section, and another passage section, which is located on an opposite radial side of the separation tube, which is opposite to the nose, is defined as a second opening section. A passage cross-sectional area of the second opening section is larger than a passage cross-sectional area of the first opening section.

    Abstract: A centrifugal blower includes: a centrifugal fan, which includes a shroud ring; and a case. The case includes a cover portion that covers a surface of the shroud ring located on one side in an axial direction. The cover portion includes a recess formed in a cover opposing surface, which is opposed to the shroud ring, and the recess is shaped in a form of a circle. The shroud ring includes at least one projection that is formed in a ring opposing surface, which is opposed to the cover portion. A gap is formed between the cover portion and the shroud ring. A shortest distance between a radially inner end part of the shroud ring and the cover portion is set to be larger than a shortest distance between a surface of the projection and a surface of the recess.

    Abstract: The inside of a blower casing of a centrifugal blower includes a discharge airflow path, which extends outward in a radial direction of a rotating shaft, on an airflow downstream side from a trailing edge of each of blades of a centrifugal fan. The discharge airflow path includes an adjacent airflow path adjacent to the trailing edge of each blade. When the length in the axial direction of the blade at the trailing edge is assumed to be blade height, and when the length in the axial direction at the trailing edge of the centrifugal fan is assumed to be fan height, the length in the axial direction of the adjacent airflow path is equal to or larger than the blade height and equal to or smaller than the fan height.

    Abstract: A bladed wheel of a blower device has a main plate, a side plate and multiple fan blades between the main plate and the side plate. A fan casing of the blower device has a bell mouth portion and a guide wall portion, which extends in a radial-outward direction from an axial rear-side end of the bell mouth portion to an outer periphery of the side plate.
