    摘要: An autonomous driving system for a vehicle includes an autonomous lane change safety check method. An object relative to the vehicle and a current lane of travel is mapped and object data of the object is assessed. An object threat value for the object is assigned based on the object map and the object data. The object is grouped based the object threat value. An overall critical value is determined from the object threat value for the object and filtered to reduce signal noise. The critical value is compared to a predetermined criticality threshold, where the lane change safety check is failed when the critical value is over the threshold.

    摘要: A collision avoidance system for a vehicle is disclosed that includes at least one sensor mounted to a vehicle to measure the vehicle's environment in the reverse driving direction, a controller which creates a feature vector based on relationships among data provided by at least one sensor, and a non-volatile memory which stores feature vectors and related object configurations for a number of different environments. The system utilizes a comparison between the current feature vector and previously stored feature vectors to match the current environment with a previously observed environment, and then loads a previously stored object configuration which can improve collision detection performance to reduce the number of unnecessary system interventions.

    摘要: A safety system for a vehicle providing a road departure protection feature comprises a camera, mounted to the vehicle to provide a view of a driving direction of the vehicle, and an electronic control unit connected to the camera. The electronic control unit includes instructions for analyzing the image and comparing the roadway path to the predicted vehicle path. The electronic control unit determines a vehicle roadway departure is occurring when the predicted vehicle path differs from the roadway path by a predetermined threshold, and then determines at least one corrective action to return the vehicle path to the roadway path. The safety system sends instructions to apply at least one corrective action with at least an electronic stability control system.
