Abstract: A medical device and related methods of use or manufacture are disclosed. The medical device may include an intravascular catheter for nerve modulation. The medical device includes an elongate shaft having a proximal end region, a distal end region, and a lumen extending therebetween. An expandable member is coupled to the distal end region of the elongate shaft. One or more electrical conductors extend from the proximal end region of the elongate shaft to the expandable member. The one or more electrical conductors may have a distal end region secured directly to an outer surface the expandable member. One or more energy delivery regions are positioned on the expandable member and coupled to the one or more electrical conductors.

Abstract: The disclosure pertains to an intravascular catheter for nerve modulation, comprising an elongate member having a proximal end and a distal end, a balloon having a lumen and a balloon wall, the balloon wall comprising RF permeable sections and non-electrically conductive sections, an electrode disposed within the balloon and extending distally to the furthest distal RF permeable section. The RF permeable sections may comprise a plurality of RF permeable windows, each window having a greater circumferential dimension than an axial dimension. The intravascular system is suited for modulation of renal nerves.

In one illustrative example an occlusion balloon comprises an outer balloon member, and an inner balloon member having an inner wall and an outer wall and extending through at least a portion of the outer balloon member. In at least some examples, when forces acting on the inner wall of the inner balloon member equal forces acting on the outer wall of the inner balloon member, the inner balloon member defines a lumen.

Abstract: In some aspects, the present disclosure provides a delivery device for delivering a detachable medical implant that comprises an elongated delivery member and a first engagement portion. The first engagement portion comprises a first proximal-facing surface, a first distal-facing surface, and a first lumen that is configured to accommodate an activation wire, wherein at least 50% of a surface area of the first proximal-facing surface is angled away from a proximal end of the first engagement portion.
