    摘要: An exhaust gas purification filter includes a honeycomb structure having porous ceramic partition walls separating and forming a plurality of cells functioning as exhaust gas passages and extending from one end portion to the other end portion, and plugging portions disposed in one side open end portions of predetermined cells and in the other side open end portions of the other cells. The partition walls have a thickness of 0.05 mm or more and 0.18 mm or less and an average pore size of 10 μm or more and 18 μm or less and the proportion of the volume of the pores having a size of twice the average pore size or more in the entire pore volume in a pore size distribution of the partition walls measured by mercury porosimetry is 5% or more and 40% or less.

    摘要: A honeycomb structure wherein the thickness of each partition wall is 50.8 μm inclusive to 161.5 μm exclusive, the cell density is 15.5 to 62.0 cells/cm2, the cell opening ratio of the honeycomb structure body is 76 to 91%, the porosity of the partition walls is 35 to 45%, the average pore diameter of the partition walls is 2 μm inclusive to 10 μm exclusive, the material for the partition walls includes at least one member selected from the group consisting of cordierite, aluminum titanate, silicon carbide, alumina and mullite, and the value obtained by dividing the average pore diameter of the partition walls by the thickness of the partition walls is larger than 0.04 but smaller than 0.065.

    摘要: Partition walls are provided with small pores and large pores, a porosity of the partition walls is from 50 to 70%, a porosity of the large pores of the partition walls is 30% or larger, a ratio of a total volume of the small pores to a total volume of the large pores is 20% or larger, and in a graph showing a pore diameter distribution of the partition walls, the pore diameter at a maximum peak value of the large pores is from 20 to 200 μm, and the pore diameter at a maximum peak value of the small pores is from 0.1 to 8 μm. Furthermore, a value obtained by dividing a porosity value (%) of the large pores by a thickness value (μm) of the partition walls is 0.2 or larger in a honeycomb structure.

    摘要: A catalytic converter having an excellent purification efficiency and small pressure loss and a method for producing the same is provided. A catalytic converter comprises a catalyst coating layer which is coated on the surface of the partition walls of the honeycomb structural body having partition walls which divide and form a plurality of cells functioning as fluid passages. 10% or more of the plurality of the cells are plugged by the plug portions which are formed at the one end or the middle of the passage, the average maximum distance of image of the honeycomb structural body is 10 μm or more and the porosity of the honeycomb structural body is 40% or more, the catalyst coating layer contains at least one oxide selected from the group consisting of alumina, ceria, titania, silica and zirconia, and also a catalyst containing at least one precious metal selected from the group consisting of platinum, rhodium and palladium, or metal exchanged zeolite or vanadium is supported in the catalyst coating layer as the catalytic active constituent, the average maximum distance of image of the catalyst coating layer is 10 μm or more, and the porosity of the catalyst coating layer is 40% or more.

Of the electrically conductive electrodes (5), adjacent ones are capable of having electric discharge produced therebetween so as to generate the plasma in the plasma generating space (7) and of generating uniform stabilized plasma at low electric power, it being possible to reduce a passage resistance to a gas passing therein.
