An information processing apparatus includes: an analysis means for analyzing a code stream in which picture data is encoded during transmission; a dividing position determination means for determining a dividing position of the code stream in accordance with a picture size of the picture data based on an analysis result by the analysis means; and a decoding means for decoding code streams in plural units of division in parallel, which are obtained by the code stream being divided at the dividing position determined by the dividing position determination means.

A distortion compensator compensates for distortion arising in an amplifier that amplifies a signal with improved efficiency. The distortion compensator includes a signal level detector which detects the level of a signal to be amplified by an amplifier, a distortion compensation execution unit which executes distortion compensation on the signal to be amplified according to a mode of distortion compensation corresponding to the signal level detected by the signal level and a correspondence between signal levels and distortion compensation control values as pairs, a distortion compensation control value correspondence updater which updates the correspondence between the signal levels and the distortion compensation control values used in the execution of distortion compensation, and a distortion compensation control value number controller which controls the values of stipulated parameters.

A ferroelectric thin film consisting of a single crystal of BaTiO.sub.3 which has a perovskite structure is produced by a method comprising evaporating Ba and Ti in an atomic ratio of 1:1 from discrete evaporation sources of Ba and Ti to deposit them on a substrate in a vacuum deposition vessel while supplying a small amount of an oxygen gas to the reactor.

An Fe-Co base magnetic material comprising periodically laminated structure which consists of an Fe layer which has the bcc (110) plane in the lamination plane, an Fe-Co alloy layer which has the bcc (110) plane in the lamination plane and is laminated on said Fe layer and a Co layer which has the hcp (101) plane in the lamination plane and is laminated on said Fe-Co alloy layer, which laminated structure has controlled magnetostriction.

Disclosed herein are plate-like barium ferrite particles having BET specific surface area of 20 to 70 m.sup.2 /g and average particle diameter of 0.05 to 0.3 .mu.m, and showing a magnetization of higher than 30 emu/g in a field of 10 kOe and coercive force of 300 to 1,000 Oe, represented by the formula BaCo.sub.x Ti.sub.x Fe.sub.12-2x O.sub.19 wherein x is 0.1 to 0.5, and a process for producing the same.

Disclosed herein is a process for producing the plate-like barium ferrite particles represented by the formula (I):BaFe.sub.12-x-y M.sub.x Ti.sub.y O.sub.19 (I)wherein x and y are respectively 0.3 to 1.2 and M is a divalent metal selected from the group consisting of Co, Ni, Zn and Mn, which comprises autoclaving an aqueous highly alkaline suspension containing spinel particles represented by the formula: Fe.sub.12-x-y M.sub.x Ti.sub.y O.sub.16, wherein x, y and M are respectively the same as defined above, having an average particle size of less than 0.1 .mu.m and Ba ions at a temperature of 250.degree. to 330.degree. C., the atomic ratio of Ba to total amount of the metals being in a range from 1:8 to 1:10.
Abstract:
A method of making a polycrystalline Mn containing ferrite body composed of crystallites which have the (111)-crystallographic planes thereof oriented substantially parallel with each other. The method involves providing a manganese compound, forming a body of a mixture made up of the manganese compound and other ferrite constituents, and heating the body made of the mixture into a polycrystalline Mn containing ferrite body of a spinel structure, wherein the manganese compound is in the form of thin platelets which have substantially parallel major surfaces oriented substantially in one direction in the body of the mixture. The ferrite body made thereby is a dense polycrystalline ferrite body having improved resistance to crumbling, improved wear characteristics and suitable physical properties for e.g. magnetic heads.

A wireless transmission system includes a wireless HDMI transmitter and a wireless HDMI receiver. The wireless HDMI transmitter includes a carrier oscillator provided for each channel of an HDMI transmission path to output a carrier signal in a millimeter band, an OOK modulator provided for each carrier oscillator to perform on-off keying modulation on a carrier signal outputted by its corresponding carrier oscillator, and an input circuit provided for each channel of the HDMI transmission path to input a digital signal outputted by a source device to the OOK modulator.
