Abstract:
A power supply apparatus includes a converter to convert AC power into DC power, an SMPS to convert the DC power into DC powers desired by loads, a capacitor to interconnect the converter and the SMPS, a PTC element connected to the converter, a first switch connected in parallel with the PTC element, and a second switch connected in series with the first switch. The method includes turning on the second switch to start charging of the capacitor, turning on the first switch to charge the capacitor to a target voltage level, and turning off both the first switch and second switch if a voltage across the capacitor rises over the target voltage level, to discharge the voltage across the capacitor so as to lower the voltage across the capacitor to the target voltage level or lower.

When the BLUETOOTH headset is installed in the portable terminal, the receiver module of the BLUETOOTH headset is used as a receiver module for the portable terminal.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display (“LCD”) includes forming only a λ/4 plate between a polarizer and a display panel and setting a direction of an absorption axis of the polarizer and a slow axis of the λ/4 plate, so that the LCD can have a smaller thickness and its fabrication cost can be reduced while having better or the same characteristics than an LCD using both λ/2 and λ/4 plates. In addition, in an ECB mode backlit LCD, transmittance, contrast ratio, and viewing angles can be enhanced by attaching both the λ/4 or λ/2 plate and allowing the absorption axis of the polarizer and the slow axis of the λ/4 and λ/2 plates to have predetermined angle relationships.
Abstract:
An inkjet printer includes an ink tank to store ink, an auxiliary tank having an ink chamber through which the ink circulates with the ink tank, a head having nozzles which communicate with the ink chamber and eject ink therethrough, a filter which is positioned inside the auxiliary tank and divides the ink chamber into a first ink chamber which communicates with the ink tank and a second ink chamber which communicates with the nozzles, a circulation pipe which connects the ink tank with the first ink chamber and forms a circulation flow route, and a pump which is positioned on the circulation flow route to apply a negative pressure to the auxiliary tank.

Abstract:
A display substrate having a low-resistance metallic layer and a method of manufacturing the display substrate. The gate conductors are extended in a first direction. The source conductors are extended in a second direction crossing the first direction including a lower layer of molybdenum or a molybdenum alloy, and an upper layer of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. The pixel areas are defined by the gate conductors and the source conductors. A switching element is formed in each of the pixel areas and includes a gate electrode extended from the gate conductor and a source electrode extended from the source conductor. The pixel electrode includes a transparent conductive material, and is electrically connected to a drain electrode of the switching element.
Abstract:
An LCD array substrate for a transflective-type LCD includes an E-field reflecting section formed under a transmitting window that reflects light when an electric field is applied. A gate line, a gate electrode and a transparent electrode are formed on a substrate. A channel layer between source and drain electrodes and an E-field reflecting layer are formed on the gate electrode and the transparent electrode, respectively. Portions of a protecting layer are removed to form a contact hole disposed over the drain electrode, and a light-transmitting hole over the E-field reflecting layer. A pixel electrode that is electrically connected to the drain electrode through the contact hole, makes contact with the E-field reflecting layer through the light-transmitting hole.
