摘要: A table lamp and rotary joint thereof is disclosed. The table lamp including a base body, a lighting member and a frictional rotary joint connecting the lighting member to the base body is disclosed. The rotary joint includes a housing defining a cavity and a rotary portion defining a rotator. The rotator deforms elastically by means of defining a center hole and a slot extending parallel to the axis of the center hole through the rotator. Compressing the rotator into the cavity, the outer surface of the rotator mates tightly to the inner surface of the cavity. Then the rotator rotates frictionally in the cavity and the lighting member can maintain at a desired angle with respect to the housing.

摘要: A method for managing a non-volatile memory is provided. The non-volatile memory has a number of blocks, and each block has a number of sub-blocks. The method includes a number of steps. First, a last physical address is obtained. The last physical address corresponds to a sub-block which is close to another sub-block where data is newly stored. Next, it is determined, for each sub-block of at least one block, the validity of data being stored. The at least one block is at least one neighboring block of a block containing the corresponding sub-block of the last physical address. Then, a mapping table is produced according to the step of determining the validity of data.

The throat portion is positioned between the first opening and the second opening, and the aperture of the first opening is larger than that of the second opening. The distance between the throat portion and the second opening is equal to or smaller than the distance between the throat portion and the first opening and is between three and ten times of the throat portion aperture (d). The second opening has an expending angle which is between half and three times of the throat portion aperture angle) (½d°-3d°. The material enters the input module through the first opening and reaches the target through the second opening. The input module further includes a guiding unit having a length longer than or equal to the distance between the throat portion and the second opening. One end of the guiding unit connects the transporting module, and the size of the end connected to the transporting module is three times larger than the size of the throat portion. The other end of the guiding unit has a guiding corner for connecting to the first opening, and the angle of the guiding corner is between three and fifteen times of the throat portion angle (3d°-15d°).

摘要: A method and apparatus for segmenting text is provided that identifies a sequence of entity types from a sequence of characters and thereby identifies a segmentation for the sequence of characters. Under the invention, the sequence of entity types is identified using probabilistic models that describe the likelihood of a sequence of entities and the likelihood of sequences of characters given particular entities. Under one aspect of the invention, organization name entities are identified from a first sequence of identified entities to form a final sequence of identified entities.

摘要: The invention is directed to expression of non-plant proteins in rice plants. Expression is optimized by use of a non-rice promoter of a monocot protein gene and its corresponding signal peptide for expression of the non-plant protein in rice plant at high yields. The invention is useful for making human proteins, polypeptides and peptides in rice seeds. The expressed protein product can be isolated from the rice seed for administration to humans or other animals.

摘要: A method is disclosed for providing a chunking utility that supports robust natural language processing. A corpus is chunked in accordance with a draft chunking specification. Chunk inconsistencies in the corpus are automatically flagged for resolution, and a chunking utility is provided in which at least some of the flagged inconsistencies are resolved. The chunking utility provides a single, consistent global chunking standard, ensuring compatibility among various applications. The chunking utility is particularly advantageous for non-alphabetic languages, such as Chinese.
