摘要: Disclosed herein is a small form factor device comprising: a power source, a force sensor, a wireless communications module, and a processor. The processor is configured to implement a proximity monitoring process involving periodically operating the wireless communications module to transmit advertisements. The processor is also configured to determine whether device stationary criteria are satisfied based on force signals received from the force sensor and, if the device stationary criteria are satisfied: cause the wireless communications module to transmit a device stationary message; and cause the small form factor device to enter a power saving mode in which the proximity monitoring process is suspended.

Record storage criteria and record access criteria are received and the record is processed according to the record storage criteria and the record access criteria to generate a plurality of record shares from which the record can be recovered. 摘要: The use of gestures on a user device to interact with and obtain functionality from remote communication hub devices is disclosed. A user device includes an accelerometer or other motion detection device and a wireless communications capability. The device is small enough to be placed conveniently about the person and communicates with a communication hub device to perform context-dependent actions. A user makes a gestural command to the device. The device interprets the gesture and undertakes activity. The gestural sensing device may be a motion switch, a multi-axis accelerometer, a video camera, a variable capacitance device, a magnetic field sensor, an electrical field sensor etc. When combined with business logic running on a remote computer system, the device can be used to implement a range of applications and services.

The non-transient memory stores hidden account data in respect of a hidden payment account, the hidden payment account having at least one account detail that is different to the visible account details. The non-transient memory further stores instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor detect an activation event and, in response, operate the communications module to transmit the hidden account data to an electronic device.

摘要: A method for tracking an object includes associating a beacon with a responder; transmitting a polling signal from the beacon to the responder; receiving a response from the responder; entering a low power state on the beacon for a predetermined duration; and transmitting an alert from the beacon responsive to a subsequent signal from the beacon failing to result in receiving a subsequent response from the responder. Embodiments also include a system in which the beacon and responder are configured to perform the described functions. In various embodiments, the duration during which the beacon remains in the low power state is predetermined based either on a default factory setting or a user adjustable setting.

摘要: A computer-implemented method is provided. The method includes displaying, on an end user device (14), a page associated with an e-commerce transaction and receiving, at the end user device, an initiation instruction to commence a checkout process associated with the e-commerce transaction. A funds request message including at least a client identifier associated with the end user is transmitted to a bank server (20), in response to which a funds availability message to determine whether an end user has sufficient funds to conclude the e-commerce transaction is received from the bank server. A total purchase price associated with the e-commerce transaction and an indication to show whether the user has sufficient funds available to conclude the e-commerce transaction are then displayed at the end user device, An authorisation from the end user to proceed with the e-commerce transaction is received, in response to which information to conclude the e-commerce transaction is sent to a third party server associated with the e-commerce transaction.
