Abstract:
A secure method of real time money transferring between account holders utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies, dynamic transaction cards, and a mobile application to facilitate a seamless mobile transfer of funds. The dynamic transaction card of the customer requesting to make the transfer of funds may be placed in contact with the second recipient dynamic transaction card of the customer receiving the funds transfer to establish an NFC connection. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may receive, via the NFC antenna on the card, the recipient customer account information stored on a passive NFC tag. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may transmit the recipient account information to a mobile application, which may transmit the recipient account information to an account provider system for facilitating the funds transfer.
Abstract:
A credit card shaped element with a dynamic stripe which may be activated or deactivated, where the stripe is formed by a plurality of coils provided along the curve thereof, where the plurality of coils are activated in a sequential manner, where a plurality of proximity sensing coils are provided in series along the curve thereof, where the plurality of coils are formed by one coil contacted at multiple positions along its length by contact pads and where the signals fed to the coils cause an output of a reader coil to output a signals with a minimum slope or where one signal fed to one track has no peaks when the other signal is close to zero.
Abstract:
A retrofitted credit card including a certified smart card chip, a display and retrofitted emulation circuitry operative to enable the certified smart card chip to communicate information to the display notwithstanding that the certified smart card chip is configured for communication only with an external read/write device.
Abstract:
In an embodiment, a method of masking transaction data for a secure wireless transaction includes transmitting wireless pseudo transaction data that includes false transaction data and processing received pseudo transaction data and transaction data to extract or separate the transaction data.
Abstract:
A smart card transaction allows a consumer to load value onto a smart card and to make purchases using a smart card with a mobile telephone handset over the telecommunications network. For loading, the system includes: a mobile telephone handset including a card reader; a gateway computer; a funds issuer computer; and an authentication computer. The mobile telephone handset receives a request from a user to load a value onto the smart card. The handset generates a funds request message which includes the value and sends the funds request message to a funds issuer computer. The funds issuer computer debits an account associated with the user. Next, the handset generates a load request message with a cryptographic signature and sends the load request message to an authentication computer which authenticates the smart card. The handset receives a response message which includes a cryptographic signature and an approval to load. Finally, the handset validates the second cryptographic signature and loads the value onto the smart card. For payment, the system includes a merchant server and a payment server. First, the handset sends an order request message to the merchant server computer, and in return receives a purchase instruction message. The handset processes the purchase instruction message locally, and then sends a draw request message to a payment server computer. The payment server computer sends a debit message which includes a cryptographic signature and an approval to debit the smart card. Finally, the handset validates the cryptographic signature and debits the smart card.
Abstract:
A method, apparatus, and system are provided for displaying usage records. The method includes: reading a usage record stored in a transportation card and acquiring a terminal number corresponding to the usage record; transmitting a route identifier query request to a server, the route identifier query request including the terminal number corresponding to the usage record; receiving a route identifier of a vehicle associated with the terminal number of the usage record; and displaying the usage record as well as the route identifier of a vehicle associated with the terminal number corresponding to the usage record.
Abstract:
A portable terminal has a currency information storage device for storing therein currency information representing a currency value amount as an electronic data. An information processing device uses operational processing information to thereby operationally process a monetary amount of the stored currency information. A request information transmission device transmits, to a server apparatus, request information for requesting the server apparatus to rewrite the electronic data so as to increase the stored currency value amount by credit using the operational processing information. An operational processing information receipt device receives the operational processing information transmitted by the server apparatus in response to the transmitted request information. An input device inputs the received operational processing information into the information processing device.
Abstract:
Data storage and access systems enable downloading and paying for data such as audio and video data, text, software, games and other types of data. A portable data carrier has an interface for sending and receiving data, data memory for storing received content data, and payment validation memory for providing payment validation data to an external device. The carrier may also store a record of access made to the stored content, and content use rules for controlling access to the stored content. Embodiments store further access control data and supplementary data such as hot links to web sites and/or advertising data. A complementary data access terminal, data supply computer system, and data access device are also described. The combination of payment data and stored content data and use rule data helps reduce the risk of unauthorized access to data such as compressed music and video data, especially over the Internet.
Abstract:
Provided are a payment card, system and method for storing and reading tokenized payment account information from a payment card. In an exemplary embodiment, a payment card may include a substrate forming a body of the payment card, and an electronic chip attached to or included in the substrate. According to various exemplary embodiments, the electronic chip may include a storage storing tokenized payment account information corresponding to a payment account linked to the payment card. The electronic chip may be read by a payment terminal and may provide the tokenized payment information to the payment terminal during reading.
Abstract:
An example relates to a method for processing data an on smartcard comprising: (i) obtaining a message; (ii) searching for a rule in at least one file of the smartcard based on the message; and (iii) in case the rule was found, executing the rule.
