    摘要: A retainer retaining a plurality of rollers therein so as to permit their slight movement in a radial direction is disposed between cam grooves provided on the outer periphery of an inner cam secured to a rotary shaft and a roller abutment surface formed on the inner periphery of a gear relatively rotatably carried on the rotary shaft, and a dowel-admission groove is defined in a side of the retainer. A dowel provided in a sleeve can enter the dowel-admission groove. The groove is defined between the adjacent rollers retained in the retainer, or at least part of the inner cam, the rollers and the retainer are disposed in a recess made in the gear, thereby achieving a reduction in axial dimension of a roller synchro mechanism. In addition, the retainer is comprised of two components: a body portion and a cover plate, thereby facilitating their machining, and a slide contact portion is formed on the outer periphery of the body portion and is tightly fitted to the roller abutment surface of the gear, so that the retainer may be dragged by the gear, thereby providing a prompt engagement of the rotary shaft with the gear.

    摘要: A viscous coupling has a casing having a fluid chamber defined therein, and a plurality of first plates and a plurality of second plates, the first and second plates being rotatable about a common axis and disposed in the fluid chamber. The first and second plates drivingly interconnect the casing and at leest one rotatable member. A viscous fluid introduced into the fluid chamber through an inlet port defined in one end wall of the casing flows circumferentially in and along an annular groove defined in an inner surface of the end wall. Each of the first and second plates has a plurality of holes defined therein and spaced circumferentially thereof. The viscous fluid flows through these holes into spaces between adjacent ones of the first and second plates. The other end wall of the casing has an air vent hole defined therein which allows air to escape from the fluid chamber when the viscous fluid is charged into the fluid chamber.

    摘要: An automotive alternator comprises: a stator provided with a stator coil; a rotor supported for rotation in the stator to apply an alternative magnetic field to the stator; a regulator for regulating output; a rectifier for rectifying generated current; a plurality of housings holding the stator and the rotor; and a coolant path through which a coolant flows through at least one of the plurality of housings to transfer heat generated in the stator coil outside the automotive alternator. Fastening devices formed of a material having good heat conductance fasten the regulator and a heatsink for the regulator together to the housing at a position apart from the housing to transfer heat generated by the regulator to the housing. Thus, the automotive alternator can maintain a stable cooling ability in a hot atmosphere for a long time.

    摘要: The invention concerns with connection of a lead from an electrical component of an alternator for a vehicle, and provides a terminal shape suitable for TIG welding (arc welding using a gas shielded non-consumable electrode) without being affected by dimensional accuracy of terminals to be connected to each other. Cross-shaped projections having a larger volume than a welded region of the terminal is provided near the welded region, and weld penetration (welding depth) is controlled based on a difference in heat capacity resulting from the volume difference, or melting is suppressed with promotion of heat radiation. Thus, the welding depth is stabilized without being affected by dimensional accuracy of the terminals including relative positions between them, and an alternator for a vehicle can be provided in which a lead from an electrical component has high connection reliability.
