    Abstract: A continuous variable planetary (CVP) system includes a CVP hub, which includes a shift mechanism including a shift driver element, and a processing server system to calibrate the CVP system and detect errors within the CVP system. The processing server system performs continuously monitoring or obtaining a transmission speed ratio of the CVP hub. Upon detecting that the transmission speed ratio reaches a particular value, the processing server system records a corresponding position of the shift driver. The processing server system calibrates the CVP system based on the particular value, the corresponding position, and a known relationship between transmission speed ratios and positions of the shift mechanism. The processing server system determines or verifies a full underdrive (FUD) position by iteratively reducing a transmission speed ratio from the particular value until an onset of a backlash condition is detected and determines or verifies a full overdrive (FOD) position.

    Abstract: [Problem] To provide a planetary gear assembly that, while increasing the speed change range of a power-split stepless transmission formed in cooperation a stepless transmission, can reduce the overall size of the power-split stepless transmission. [Solution] The planetary gear assembly according to the present invention includes: a cylindrical transmission shaft, an output shaft inserted into the transmission shaft, first and second planetary gear mechanisms each having a first sun gear supported to the transmission shaft without a relative rotation about an axial line, first and second clutch mechanisms that are placed coaxially with the transmission shaft, and that engage and disengage a power transmission of power to standard rotary speed power input units of the first and second planetary gear mechanisms, and a connection member extrapolated to the transmission shaft with a free relative rotation about an axial line. The connection member, without a relative rotation around an axial line, connects, within the first planetary gear mechanism, a planetary element that is other than a sun gear and a planetary element that forms a standard rotary speed power input unit, with, within the second planetary gear mechanism, a planetary element that is other than a sun gear and a planetary element that forms a standard rotary speed power input unit, and the connection member, meanwhile, is non-rotatable relative to the output shaft about an axial line.

    Abstract: A dual push button switch assembly for a vehicle includes an elastic button being moveable between a first unactuated position and a second actuated position, an actuator that is movable between a first position and a second position, and first and second switches. When the elastic button is in the first unactuated position, a resilient dome biases the actuator into the first position, and when the elastic button is moved towards the second actuated position, a force applied to the elastic button is transmitted to the actuator to move the actuator towards the second position, and wherein as the actuator moves towards the second position, the first and second switches are activated.

    Abstract: A method for operating a drive train, having a main and, an auxiliary drive and a speed modulation gearbox with a fixed mechanical transmission ratio between the two drives, for starting and towing a drive train to a defined set rotational speed. The main drive is started via a direct-on-line-start with direct coupling to a supply network. The auxiliary drive is started simultaneously with at a time before or at a time after the main drive. For towing the drive train to the defined set rotational speed, which corresponds to a defined percentage of a rated rotational speed of the drive train, the main drive is operated motorically in forward mode at least at times and accelerated to its rated rotational speed, wherein parallel to this the auxiliary drive is operated motorically in reverse mode at least at times.

    Abstract: A snowmobile has a two-stroke engine having an electronic reverse function so that a crankshaft can be selectively rotated in forward and reverse rotation directions. A gearbox has a first shaft coupled to a countershaft, a second shaft extending parallel to the first shaft, first transmission gears mounted to the first shaft and second transmission gears mounted to the second shaft. The first transmission gears are in constant mesh with the second transmission gears to form high and low gear pairings. A shifter is operable for selectively operating the gearbox in one of a high gear, a low gear and a neutral gear. The engine is selectively operable in the forward and reverse rotation directions while the gearbox is operated in at least one of the high gear, the low gear and the neutral gear.
