    摘要: An attachment for a chainsaw has a lock strip aligned with and near the bottom edge of the chain bar. A plurality of substantially C-shaped stop members engage non-circular indentations formed in the lock strip with one leg and the opposite side of the chain bar with the other leg. The substantially C-shaped stop members are large enough to go around the chain without touching the chain and to block brush and small limbs from being dragged by the chain into the housing. A tightening screw is associated with each of the plurality of substantially C-shaped stop members for holding the C-shaped stop member in a tight relationship with both the lock strip and the chain bar.

    摘要: A lightweight, personal, portable dispenser of medically pure oxygen at appropriate temperature and delivery rate for direct inhalation is disclosed. The dispenser contains an oxygen producing generator to initiate the creation of oxygen instantaneously from a fuel-less self-contained chemical reaction of extended shelf-life inert compounds in a totally safe and reliable generator. The oxygen initially enters an expansion chamber. A cylindrical dispenser body houses the oxygen producing generator and forms an annular space between the cylindrical dispensing body and the oxygen producing generator. A bottom web attached to the periphery of the bottom of the cylindrical dispenser body allows air from outside of the dispenser to enter the annular space formed between the cylindrical dispensing body and the oxygen producing generator and flow out the top of the cylindrical dispenser body. The oxygen passes through a cooling coil and the air flowing through the annular space cools the cooling coil and any oxygen flowing through it. In one arrangement, the cooling coil is formed within the annular space between the cylindrical dispensing body and the oxygen producing generator and forms a cylindrical helix.

A plurality of the reels for feeding the monofilaments are mounted on a spindle secured at one end, with friction means (64,66) disposed between each of the reels located adjacent to each other for applying an axial braking force to each of the reels. A spring biasing means (68) is disposed between each of the reels located adjacent to each other for pressing the friction means (64,66) against the adjacent reels.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a process for producing a patented steel wire having a microstructure which is essentially pearlite with a very fine lamellar spacing between carbide and ferrite platelets which has good ductility and which can be drawn to develop high tensile strength, said process comprising the steps of:(1) heating a steel wire to a temperature which is within the range of approximately 850.degree. C. to about 1050.degree. C. for a period of at least about 2 seconds; wherein said steel wire is comprised of a microalloyed high carbon steel which consists essentially of about 97.03 to about 98.925 weight percent iron, from about 0.72 to about 0.92 weight percent carbon, from about 0.3 to about 0.8 weight percent manganese, from about 0.05 to about 0.4 weight percent silicon, and from about 0.005 to about 0.85 weight percent of at least one member selected from the group consisting of chromium, vanadium, nickel, and boron, with the proviso that the total amount of silicon, manganese, chromium, vanadium, nickel, and boron in the microalloyed high carbon steel is within the range of about 0.7 to 0.9 weight percent;(2) continuously cooling the steel wire at a cooling rate of less than 100.degree. C. per second until a transformation from austenite to pearlite begins;(3) allowing the transformation from austenite to pearlite to proceed with an increase in the wire temperature resulting from recalescence; and(4) cooling the patented steel wire to ambient temperature.

    摘要: The invention is directed to several embodiments of metallic cord for the reinforcement of tires wherein one or more coaxial layers of metallic filaments are arranged around the metallic core filaments and twisted in the same direction at the same pitch. In one embodiment, the ratio of the diameter of the core filaments to the layer filaments is at least 1.28. In another embodiment, two of the core filaments have a first diameter and the third core filament has a second diameter smaller than the first diameter daimeter. In still another embodiment, two of the core filaments have a first diameter and a third of the core filaments has a second diameter smaller than the first diameter while the coaxial layer filaments have a third diameter equal to the second diameter. In another embodiment, the core has three core filaments twisted about each other and a coaxial layer of eight layer filaments arranged around the core filaments. In yet another embodiment, the core filaments have a first diameter and the layer filaments have a second diameter which is larger than the first diameter.

    摘要: A chainsaw and an attachment are disclosed. A lock strip is aligned with and near the bottom edge of the chain bar. A plurality of substantially C-shaped stop members engage non-circular indentations formed in the lock strip with one leg and the opposite side of the bar chain with the other leg. The substantially C-shaped stop members are large enough to go around the chain without touching the chain and to block brush and small limbs so as to be cut and from being dragged by the chain into the housing. A tightening screw is associated with each of the plurality of substantially C-shaped stop members for holding the C-shaped stop member in a tight relationship with both the lock strip and the chain bar. In one arrangement, each of the plurality of non-circular indentations is substantially square and the shape of the mating part of the leg of the substantially C-shaped stop member is also square to create a snug fit. The lock strip also forms a plurality of circular cutouts, one circular cutout in the bottom of each substantially square indentation, through which the tightening screw tightens the substantially C-shaped stop member and, therefore, the lock strip directly against the chain bar. The tightening screws and the substantially C-shaped stop members can be removed and the lock strip can be moved to different places along the bottom edge of chain bar, where the substantially C-shaped stop members and the tightening screws can be re-attached.
