摘要: A pipe for a steam turbine is formed of a centrifugal casting material to achieve resistance against higher temperatures and improve reliability of the pipe by employing, as a pipe material, a centrifugal casting material normalized to contain uniform and finer crystal grains. The centrifugal casting material is made of steel having a columnar structure in the radial direction with the crystal grain size number of 5 or more in a plane perpendicular to the radial direction. The steel includes 0.05-0.5% by mass C, not more than 1.0% Si, 0.05-1.5% Mn, 0.01-2.5% Ni, 8.0-13.0% Cr, 0.05-2.5% Mo, not more than 3.0% W, 0.05-0.35% V, 0.01-0.5% Nb, not more than 5% Co, 0.01-0.1% N, not more than 0.03% B, and not more than 0.05% Al.

摘要: An information processing apparatus includes a control operating system executing a process for allocating a plurality of logical processors to a physical processor in a time division manner, and a guest operating system for which a logical partition as an application entity of the logical processor is set. The control operating system sets and updates, as address conversion tables for determining an allocation relationship between the logical processor and the physical processor, two address conversion tables of a first conversion table that sets an allocation relationship between a logical partition address space and a physical address space and a second conversion table that sets an allocation relationship between a virtual address space in the guest operating system and the physical address space.

摘要: If an incidental interruption of power supply occurs in a system, an apparatus and method is provided that a status immediately before the interruption of power supply can be stored. A request for a status-storing process is outputted from an application to a check point manager in a module. A request for an execution of a snap shot output to components, such as the application, a device driver and the like, is outputted to the manager. A sequence at this time is based on an sequence recorded in a status-storing database. The sequence represents a dependence relation between the components. When each component receives the request for the snap shot output, a function existing in a particular address for each component is read out and the component status is outputted as a snap shot file through the manager to a non-volatile memory.

摘要: A route guiding apparatus provides information for a route using public transportation as an alternative to a vehicular route. In addition to searching for a vehicular route from a current location to a destination, it is determined whether the current location and the destination are within a zone in which public transportation can be used. When the current location and the destination are determined to be within a public transportation zone, a route using public transportation is searched for. Subsequently, the cost of the route using public transportation and the cost of the vehicular route are compared. When the cost of the public transportation route falls within a predetermined limit, the apparatus indicates the public transportation route. The route costs are calculated considering factors such as required travel time and ticket fees. The apparatus may also recommend public transportation when no parking is available near the destination, or based on traffic information concerning the vehicular route.
