A transparent conductive laminate having a completely crystallized, transparent conductive layer on a substrate comprising an organic polymer molding, and a process for producing the same. The transparent conductive layer is excellent in transparency and wet heat confidence and is not excessively low in specific resistivity. The transparent conductive laminate includes a substrate comprising an organic polymer molding having formed thereon a completely crystallized, transparent conductive layer comprising an In.Sn composite oxide having an amount of Sn atom of 1 to 6% by weight based on the total weight of In atom and Sn atom and having a film thickness of 15 to 50 nm, a Hall mobility of 30 to 45 cm2/V·S, and a carrier density of from 2×1020/cm3 to 6×1020/cm3.

A throttle valve control system for an internal combustion engine which controls an opening of a throttle valve of the engine so that the opening coincides with a target opening. A regulation value of a change amount of the throttle valve opening is set according to at least a temperature parameter indicative of a temperature of the engine. The target opening is set within a range defined by the regulation value. An upper limit value and a lower limit value of the regulation value is set according to the temperature parameter, and a transition control is performed wherein the regulation value is set according to an elapsed time period after start of the engine so as to change from the lower limit value to the upper limit value.

In the control system, a maximum opening of a throttle valve of the engine is set, and a target opening of the throttle valve is set to a value which is equal to or less than the maximum opening. An opening of the throttle valve is controlled so as to coincide with the target opening. The maximum opening is according to a concentration parameter indicative of a concentration of alcohol in the fuel, a temperature parameter indicative of a temperature of the engine, and a number of ignitions performed after start of the engine.

An alkaline secondary battery comprising a negative comprising cadmium, zinc or iron or an oxide or thereof or a hydrogen absorbing alloy, a positive electrode comprising a metal oxide or a metal hydroxide, and a separator, which are all impregnated with an electrolyte comprising an alkaline aqueous solution is disclosed, wherein the separator is made of a polyolefin fiber sheet which has a wicking rate of pure water of at least 10 mm per 2 minutes when one end of the sheet is dipped in pure water at 20.degree. C. and 60% RH. Since the separator is chemically stable and exhibits sufficient hydrophilic properties, the battery retains a high electrode utilization even at a high rate discharging and has a practically sufficient cycle life.

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a laminate having a hydrophobic resin substrate and an orientation layer containing an organic dye, wherein the method comprises a step (1) of carrying out a plasma treatment on a surface of the hydrophobic resin substrate under an atmosphere having a nitrogen concentration of 80% or higher and a step (2) of forming the orientation layer containing the organic dye on the hydrophobic resin substrate by applying a solution containing the organic dye exhibiting lyotropic liquid crystallinity and a hydrophilic solvent on the surface of the hydrophobic resin substrate on which the plasma treatment is carried out and drying the solution.According to the method for manufacturing the laminate of the present invention, the solution may be applied on the hydrophobic resin substrate approximately uniformly and an excellent orientation layer having an extremely small number of defects may be formed.

A transparent conductive film comprising: an organic polymer film substrate; an Al2O3 thin film formed on the organic polymer film substrate; and a ZnO-based thin film that is formed on the Al2O3 thin film and comprises ZnO doped with at least one of Ga and Al. The transparent conductive film has a low resistance value, even when the thickness of the ZnO-based thin film is reduced (particularly to about 150 nm or less), and shows a low rate of resistance change even in a hot and humid environment.
