The optical device includes a main body; a display unit which includes a polarization layer and which is disposed on one surface of the main body; and a camera module which is disposed in the main body and which overlaps the polarization layer in an optical axis direction. A first region of the polarization layer overlapping the camera module in the optical axis direction blocks or reflects at least some incident light when the camera module is not operated.

摘要: Embodiments disclose an optical material having a visual confirmation effect due to higher directivity of light reflection than a conventional optical material. Embodiments can include a laminate having a multilayer laminated film in which 11 or more layers of different thermoplastic resins are alternately laminated. With respect to light in a wavelength range of 400 to 700 nm and that is perpendicularly incident on an outer surface of the multilayer laminated film, the laminate has an average transmittance in the above wavelength range of 50% or more. When average reflectances in a wavelength range of 400 to 700 nm with respect to S-wave light in the wavelength range, incident at angles of 20° and 70° with respect to the normal line of the outer surface of the film at azimuths ϕn (n: 1 to 5), are given as Rs20(ϕn) and Rs70(ϕn), respectively, the laminate satisfies, at least one azimuth ϕn:Rs70(ϕn)−Rs20(ϕn)≥50(%).

摘要: The present invention relates to a variable transmittance optical laminate, a method for manufacturing same, a smart window comprising same, and vehicle and building windows and doors using same, the variable transmittance optical laminate comprising: a first polarizing plate including a first polarizer; a first transparent conductive layer formed on one surface of the first polarizing plate; a second polarizing plate which faces the first polarizing plate and includes a second polarizer; a second transparent conductive layer which is formed on one surface of the second polarizing plate and faces the first transparent conductive layer; and a liquid crystal layer provided between the first transparent conductive layer and the second transparent conductive layer, wherein at least one of the first polarizing plate or the second polarizing plate includes a retardation layer, the in-plane retardation value of the retardation layer is 230 nm to 280 nm, and the contained angle between the optical axis of the retardation layer and the alignment axis of the liquid crystal layer is 43° to 47°.

摘要: Provided are a polarizing plate for antireflection containing a polarizer, and a protective layer formed on at least one surface of the polarizer, wherein the polarizing plate has a single transmittance of 44.6% or more and a degree of polarization of 98% or more, and a shrinkage rate in stretching direction of the polarizing plate is 0.5% or less after standing at 85° C. for 240 hours, and a display device including the polarizing plate. The polarizing plate is resistant to curling, prevents bending of a panel occurring after adherence of the panel, and reduces dispersion of reflection color depending on the position, while exhibiting high transmittance. Further, the polarizing plate can be made thinner, and prevent the polarizer from being cut off during a preparation process.

摘要: An object of the invention is to provide an anisotropic light absorption film having both a high alignment degree and high light resistance, and a laminate provided using the anisotropic light absorption film. An anisotropic light absorption film according to the embodiment of the invention is formed from a composition having a first dichroic azo dye, a second dichroic azo dye, and a compound represented by Formula (I) or a polymer thereof, the first dichroic azo dye has a solution absorption maximum wavelength of 400 nm or greater and less than 550 nm, the second dichroic azo dye has a solution absorption maximum wavelength of 550 nm or greater and 750 nm or less, and the film has an arrangement structure of the first dichroic azo dye or an arrangement structure of the second dichroic azo dye therein.

摘要: Techniques for operating an optical system are disclosed. World light may be linearly polarized along a first axis. When the optical system is operating in accordance with a first state, a polarization of the world light may be rotated by 90 degrees, the world light may be linearly polarized along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis, and zero net optical power may be applied to the world light. When the optical system is operating in accordance with a second state, virtual image light may be projected onto an eyepiece of the optical system, the world light and the virtual image light may be linearly polarized along the second axis, a polarization of the virtual image light may be rotated by 90 degrees, and non-zero net optical power may be applied to the virtual image light.

The phase element is designed by a first step for setting a light propagation characteristic of the optical element, and a second step for setting a target value of emission light of the optical element and calculating the polarization characteristics of each of the plurality of phase difference plates and the inclination serving as an approximate solution for the target value.
