    摘要: A storage shed comprises a plurality of posts erected onto a base. The posts comprise a prismatic profile disposed over a hollow bar to form a void and a longitudinal slot. Corrugated wall panels are disposed in between the posts. U-channels are coupled to the base to support the posts and wall panels. The wall panels include parallel latitudinal folds and longitudinal side flanges which fit into the longitudinal slots of the posts. A roof frame is disposed on top of the vertical posts and wall panels. Corrugated roof panels are disposed on the roof frame. The corrugated roof panels include parallel latitudinal folds and side portions adapted to overlap with each other. Ridge panels are disposed at the ridge of the roof frame so as to cover a portion of the roof panels on each side of the shed. Facia boards are disposed on an entrance end and a rear end of the roof frame. Doors are disposed on an entrance side of the shed. The vertical posts, wall panels, roof panels, doors, and facia boards can be made of polyvinyl chloride. An aesthetic layer may be applied to an exterior side of the wall panels and roof panels. A method for building a shed is also provided.

    摘要: The invention is a water well filter. An outer pipe is concentric with an inner pipe. Each pipe has a plurality of water passage apertures. The outer pipe is shorter than the inner pipe, but long enough to cover the apertures of the inner pipe. The outer pipe is attached to non-apertured portions of the inner pipe by sealing rings disposed at an upper and lower end of the upper pipe so as to form a gap between the pipes. The sealing rings are welded onto the inner and outer pipes. A granulated filter material fills the gap. The filter granules may be bonded to each other as well as to the surfaces of the pipes. A nylon mesh cover is disposed on the outer surface of the inner pipe to prevent filter granules from entering through the inner pipe apertures. The inner pipe has an internally threaded portion at one end and an externally threaded portion at the other end so as to allow multiple inner pipes, and thus multiple water well filters, to be attached end to end. The outer pipe, inner pipe, sealing rings, and granulated filter material all comprise unplasticized polyvinyl chloride. The invention also comprises a method for filtering out particulate matter from water in a well.

    摘要: A shutter door assembly assembled primarily from extruded plastic components is provided. The shutter door assembly includes an outer rectangular frame surrounding a pivotally attached vaned panel door. Various side, top, and bottom legs of the frame and door are constructed of a hollow extruded plastic and are securely mounted together to form a rigid, durable shutter door. The resulting shutter door has the general look and feel of an actual wooden door. An after-former device for forming extruded tubes for use in the shutter assembly is also provided. The after-former system mounts to a standard circular extrusion head, and converts a circular tube of extrudant to a desired noncircular shape, such as a rectangular shape. The after-former has a conical conduit, with an entrance aperture having a circular shape for receiving the initial extrudant and an exit aperture having the desired noncircular cross-section. As the extrudant passes through the conical conduit, the extrudant is gradually transformed to the desired noncircular cross-section.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for laminating a decorative lamination film to an extruded substrate is disclosed. The decorative lamination film may be clear, translucent, pearlescent, or opaque and it is compressed against the extruded substrate between a pair of rollers. In the context of vertical blind louvers, the rollers and the decorative lamination film are wider than the extruded substrate, the side edges of the extruded substrate being temporarily pressed upward in contact with the lamination film. The roller in contact with the lamination film is heated to a temperature sufficient to melt a central length of the lamination film that is contact with the extruded substrate, and thereby under increased pressure, but not so hot as to melt the unused side lengths of the lamination film. The unused side lengths, therefore, do not melt and naturally separate from the central length.

    摘要: An improved load bearing pallet includes an upper deck formed from a sheet of thermoplastic material with a load engaging surface and an opposing, substantially parallel lift engaging surface. Ridges, channels, depressions, and legs, are formed in the sheet with corresponding features being necessarily defined by the sheet on the opposite side. The pallet preferably includes a peripheral channel formed around a periphery of the upper deck and nine legs positioned in three rows of three creating two gaps on each side of the pallet for the tines of a fork lift to enter to lift the pallet. A plurality of strengthening ridges and channels are formed in the load bearing surface of the upper deck, with corresponding channels and ridges necessarily formed in the lifting surface of the upper deck, to resist bending and folding of the pallet. A reinforcing member received within the peripheral channel includes a steel core encapsulated within a thermoplastic coating that is molecularly bonded or cross-linked to the molecular structure of the thermoplastic material of the pallet. A lower deck or other support structure may be coupled or molecularly bonded to the upper deck. The lower deck may also include ridges, channels, depressions, legs, and reinforcing members. The pallet includes runners coupled to the legs of the decks, a stack of decks with runners, and a method for stacking decks when the decks are not in use. The pallet further includes modular dual deck pallets to allow ease of transportation and storage.
