    Abstract: An apparatus (40) according to the invention includes a radiation emitter (34) for ionizing radiation and a high voltage generator (1) for generating brief voltage pulses for voltage application of electrodes (6, 15, 16, 24) included in the apparatus. The electrodes are designed to be secured at or introduced into tissue in a restricted region of a human or an animal and to form between them an electric field in the tissue. The radiation emitter (34) is provided to emit ionizing radiation to a tumor in the tissue in that region which is to be treated, while the electrodes (6, 15, 16, 24) are disposed to be placed in or at the tumor in order that the electric field pass through the tumor.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a lifting apparatus, especially a barrel tilter, which is preferably raisable and movable by means of a low lift truck (4).     Abstract: A boot support device including a pair of shanks which engage each other intermediate their ends but closest to the upper end of the device. The inter-engagement of the shanks effects a rocking movement between the shanks to cause the lower ends of the shanks to move apart to facilitate insertion into the legs of boots. The divergence of the lower ends is effected by causing sections of the shanks near the upper ends to be squeezed together. A predetermined divergence may be effected by movement into a certain position of a hollow slider which is displaceable along the shanks. Divergence of the lower ends of the shanks may also be effected by manually squeezing together opposed sides of a loop-shaped connection extending between the shanks at the upper end.

A piston is slidable in a piston passage of a housing and a moulding tool defining a moulding cavity is slidable in a moulding tool passage of the housing.     Abstract: An apparatus for treating tumors utilizing an electric field in which a voltage generator generates brief voltage pulses applied to electrodes connected to a measurement unit. The electrodes are secured at a restricted region of a human or an animal and form electric fields in the tissue between the electrodes.     Abstract: Weed seeds are controlled by high voltage pulses with short duration which electropermeabilize the cell membranes of weed seeds in the ground. The device is selective and damages only germinating weed seeds and plants early in their life cycle.
