    摘要: A printed circuit board (PCB) for deployment of a sensor chip of an optical head of an endoscope is described. The PCB comprises at least one layer defined by a front surface, a rear surface and a recess provided on said front surface. The recess has a depth dimension and the sensor chip has a thickness corresponding to said depth dimension of the recess. The sensor chip is receivable within the recess so as to be essentially flush with the front surface of the PCB. The PCB comprises at least one bonding pad located at a predetermined distance from the sensor chip and is electrically connectable with the sensor chip.

    摘要: Apparatus for sheathing an endoscopic tool includes a sheathing assembly, which includes a sleeve dispenser and a port adapter for mating with a proximal port of an endoscopic working channel so as to permit the endoscopic tool to be advanced through the sheathing assembly into the working channel. A flexible sleeve in the sheathing assembly has a distal end, which is fixed to the sleeve dispenser, and a proximal end, which is adapted to engage the endoscopic tool as the endoscopic tool is retracted from the working channel, causing the sleeve to extend out of the dispenser in a proximal direction so as to sheath the endoscopic tool.

    摘要: A cap, which is detachably connectable to an optical head of an endoscope, has a tubular housing, which is manufactured by injection molding from translucent plastic material. The housing includes a rear open end and a frontal end closed by a frontal face and an antiglare ring for preventing a viewer of the optical head from viewing parasitic reflections. The antiglare ring is embedded within the frontal face of the cap and said optical head can view an object of interest through a portion of the frontal face which is confined by the antiglare ring. The antiglare ring is provided with at least one discontinuity region through which the plastic material can flow during injection molding of the cap.
