The apparatus comprises an outer mould (1) for forming the outer contour of the sealing ring (9) and for forming the outer side of the socket end (12), and a core for forming the inner side of the socket end (12) and the sealing ring (9). The core comprises a first core part (7a), a sleeve-like core part (7) which can be displaced on the first core part (7a), for forming a front for the sealing ring (9), a core part (8) which adjoins the first core part (7a) and can be contracted in the radial direction, for forming the inner contour of the sealing ring (9), and a second core part (6), which adjoins the contractable core part (8), for forming the inner side of the pipe part. The contractable core part (8) has a radially innermost position with an external diameter which is smaller than the internal diameter of the sleeve -like core part (7).

    摘要: A method for forming an integral socket to a pipe made from biaxially oriented thermoplastic material is described. The pipe has a pipe body and is provided, at one or both ends, with an integral socket. The biaxially oriented thermoplastic pipe is subjected to a socket-forming operation comprising the steps of fixing both axial ends of the unheated end part of the pipe, heating the fixed end part to a suitable socket-forming temperature in one or more steps, and expanding the axially fixed end part with the aid of a fluid pressure in the interior of the end part and/or a vacuum on the outer side of the end part, which expansion may begin as early as during the heating of the end part.

    摘要: A plastic bag of polyolefin material such as polyethylene, for packaging materials, comprising particles of less than 50 .mu.m, and a closed bag containing such materials and a foil material for such a bag.The foil wall of the bag is provided with venting apertures with smooth edges, obtained by laser radiation, having a maximum size of 50-100 .mu.m; the distance between the venting perforations is such that the tensile strength of the foil is substantially the same as the tensile strength of the similar non-perforated foil.In a low density polyethylene foil of a thickness of 130-190 .mu.m distance between the perforations of 80 .mu.m is more than 20 mm, in a linear low density polyethylene foil of about 50-110 .mu.m the perforation distance is at least 5 mm.The bag may consist of two perforated foil layers, the perforations being staggered with respect to each other.

In this way the whole cooling system is becoming constructively simplified, such that production speeds can be increased, with the consequent greater length of the cooling system, but without its becoming unduly complicated. This effect is realized irrespective of the nature of the machine or the number of molds.Method and device are especially advantageous when applied with the manufacture of plastics tube, more particularly yet with the manufacture of plastic corrugated tube.

    摘要: Apparatus for making profiled plastic tube and comprising two circulating endless chains, each making a plurality of mold halves move along with a tube coming from an extruder, these mold halves pairwise constituting a mold cavity in which the tube is being given its profile. According to the invention the molds are movable relative to the chain links in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the links. The machine frame is provided with guides for the mold halves, some located interiorly, others exteriorly, with respect to the chain loop, such that once closed, the cavity formed by the pairs of mold halves will remain closed and undisturbed up to the end.Preferably the transitions between curved portions and the operative portion of the path of the mold halves at the entrance and the exit ends are bending points of mathematically calculated paths and the operative straight path tangentially joins said transitional portions.In order to further eliminate vibrations and other disturbances in the regular course of the mold halves, it is preferable that the chains are each provided with driving means which are operative near the entrance end of the operative straight portion of the path, and with braking means which are operative near the exit end thereof.
