摘要: Provided are methods of preparing organoids and compositions for use in such methods. In some embodiments, a method of depositing a plurality of the cells into a reservoir are provided, the method comprising depositing a gelatin composition into a reservoir; adding a composition comprising a plurality of cells into the gelatin composition, wherein the composition is added into the gelatin composition at a position below the surface of the gelatin composition and at least a portion of the composition and/or plurality of cells are suspended in the gelatin composition; curing at least a portion of the composition comprising the plurality of cells in the gelatin composition; and removing at least a portion of the gelatin composition in the reservoir, thereby depositing the plurality of cells in the reservoir.

摘要: A method for automatically controlling an expandable member in a blood vessel of a subject may comprise obtaining, using a controller, proximal sensor data from a proximal pressure sensor and distal sensor data from a distal pressure sensor, comparing the obtained proximal sensor data to a proximal pressure threshold value, adjusting, using the controller, a volume of the expandable member based on the distal sensor data in response to determining that the proximal sensor data is above or at the proximal pressure threshold value, and adjusting, using the controller, the volume of the expandable member based on the proximal sensor data in response to determining that the proximal sensor data is below the proximal pressure threshold value.

Methods of using such compounds and formulations containing the same are also described.

摘要: Provided herein is a method of forming a ventricular support device for a diseased heart, including providing imaging data of the diseased heart, forming a three-dimensional (3D) heart model based on the imaging data, providing strain data including a plurality of strain estimates for at least one segment of the diseased heart, mapping the plurality of strain estimates onto corresponding portions of the 3D heart model to form a 3D diseased heart model, based on the 3D diseased heart model, forming a model of the ventricular support device configured to surround at least a portion of the diseased heart and provide support based upon said strain estimates, and converting the model of the ventricular support device to a digital file useful for directing a 3D printer device to print said ventricular support device for said diseased heart. Also provided is a customized ventricular support device so produced.

摘要: A method for inhibiting device thrombosis for a patient may include circulating blood through an extracorporeal circuit coupled to the patient, infusing nitrite into the flow of blood such that the nitrite is bioactivated by red blood cells to form nitric oxide, and illuminating the flow of blood with far-red light to increase bioactivation of the nitrite by the red blood cells. A system for inhibiting device thrombosis for a patient may include an extracorporeal circuit configured to circulate a flow of blood, a nitrite infusion device coupled to the extracorporeal circuit and configured to infuse nitrite into the flow of blood, and one or more light sources disposed along the extracorporeal circuit and configured to illuminate the flow of blood with far-red light.
