摘要： A cap with a covering portion to cover a post having a rectangular-shaped cross-section for holding woven fencing having longitudinal rods. The cap is formed from a sheet metal blank and has a cover component that may be secured to the post. This cover has a width equal to the width of the post, and a depth which is greater than that of the post. The cap has an excess portion which extneds beyond the depth of the post and is provided with cut-outs along a section of an edge adjacent to the post. Free ends of sections connected to the cover have joggs extending from the cover to the cross-section of the post and matching cross-sections of the longitudinal rods in the fencing. These sectoins connected with a cover have excess portions extending beyond the depth of the post with slits to form webs extending to bases of the excess portions.

摘要： An arrangement in which at least one ultrasonic sensor is coupled to an article to be tested by a liquid coupling medium in an automatic ultrasonic testing of strips, sheets, and pipes that follow each other as individual pieces. The sensor is positioned along a testing path at a constant distance away from the article by a holder. The sensor has a sound emisson surface, and at least one separate free jet of coupling medium is positioned at a side of the sensor in a plane crossing the testing path. The free jet intercepts a central axis of the sound emission surface, and a layer of coupling medium is formed between the sound emission surface and the surface of the article. Testing of the article includes interior regions covered by all surfaces of the article, as well as the end regions and edges of the article.

摘要： An underfloor wheel set barring machine for retreading of wheel rim circumferences of railroad wheel sets. Two driven pairs of friction rollers can be pressed against a wheel rim circumference with the friction rollers of each pair being arranged to pivot parallel to the axis of the wheel set. A drive motor has first and second smooth belt drives having a common drive wheel driven by the motor. Each belt drive has an output wheel driving an input gear of a spur gear system. Two spur gear systems have upward members respectively driving the friction rollers. The output of each belt drive is coaxially arranged with the axis of its associated friction roller.

摘要： The packaging band in packaging machines, especially when it is formed from plastic, was previously temporarily stored in meandering loops. According to the invention, the band is stored in coils in a spiral relationship to each other, whereby the center of the spiral is shifted and the coils have a free intermediary space between each other. The packaging band can be easily fed at a tangent to the start of the smallest coil without sharp bends and removed at the largest coil by means of shifting the center. The spiral can also be in a standing position. It is advantageous in this instance if the packaging band is fed in and removed in the vicinity of the lowest point. The innermost coil is not limited in its size by any fixed stop means, but rather the infeed of packaging band is cut in by a sensing switch when the radius of the inner coil has reached a certain minimum size. The switch also cuts out the infeed to the storage unit in time during operation, so that the outermost coil does not firmly contact an outer ring.
