    摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus for use on a roof or the like which incorporates an insulation material. The invention allows workers to shave the insulating layer to smooth, remove high spots, or create slopes, valleys or sumps, in order to achieve positive slope for water drainage. As part of the invention, there is provided, an apparatus for milling the surface of a low slope substrate, comprising a milling device comprising a cylindrical tubular structure having an outer rotatable milling surface, said surface positionable adjacent said substrate and drivable in a rotary motion to mill the surface of the substrate; a milling device support upon which said milling device is mounted for movement in a milling direction; a mounting assembly for mounting said milling device to said support; said mounting assembly including means for adjusting the angle and depth of engagement of said milling surface to said substrate.

    摘要: The bead trimmer is preferably applied in a production line for elements having longitudinal weld beads (21), where an element slides along a parallel direction to a longitudinal axis thereof (x), and comprises a tool-bearing turret (2) for removable fixing of a trimming tool (30), associated to a first slide (3) which is slidable along a horizontal direction (y) which is transversal with respect to the longitudinal axis (x) between an internal position, in which the tool (30) is aligned with the weld bead (21), and an external position, in which the tool (30) is not aligned with the weld bead (21). The first slide (3) is associated to a second slide (4) which is vertically slidable on a bearing structure (40) along a vertical direction (z) between a lowered position, in which the tool (30) is in contact with the weld bead (21), and a raised position, in which the tool (30) is distanced from the weld bead (21).

    摘要: An apparatus and method for shaving elongate metal stock such as rod, wire and the like, characterized by the employment of a plurality of progressive die stations each including diametrically opposed segmental dies which are automatically indexed to remove surface imperfections from metal stock, to impart desired cross-sectional shapes to the metal stock and/or to impart desired tapered profiles to the metal stock. The segmental dies at each station are rigidly secured to respective carriages by heel and toe clamps and the carriages are radially advanced and retracted in rigid restraints by hydraulic actuators provided with adjustable mechanical stops which limit inward carriage adavancement. The carriages and hydraulic actuators for each station are mounted on a mounting plate which is securable to an upright support plate at any one of a member of rotated positions. The support plates are fixed at their lower ends to a base structure and tied at their upper ends to adjacent support plates as well as the base structure to eliminate or minimize chatter as the metal stock is continuously advanced through the progressive die stations.

    摘要: A billet scalper including a die assembly with a scalping die, a pressing mechanism with a stem member in axial alignment with the scalping die for pressing a billet thereinto, and a chip ejector located around the circumference of the scalping die and movable axially back and forth beyond a free end face of the scalping die to remove chips therefrom. The die assembly including the scalping die is movable between a position at the center of the scalper and an outer receded position to permit easy maintenance and service of the die assembly including replacements and cleaning of scalping dies. In a preferred form, the scalper is constructed integrally with an extrusion press to perform the billet scalping operation in timed relation with the extruding operation to shorten the time of press cycle.

    摘要: A mobile rail contouring machine is arranged for continuously milling such running surface irregularities as ripples, corrugations and overflow metal from rail heads during the continuous movement of the machine along a railroad track. The machine comprises a frame, a rail contouring tool mounting linked to the frame, guide rollers for vertically and laterally guiding the mounting without play along the sides and the running surface of the rail head of each rail and for pressing the mounting thereagainst, and a rail contouring tool head including a tool holder arranged on the mounting. A rail contouring tool is mounted in the tool holder and the tool head is displaceable with respect to the mounting in directions extending parallel and perpendicularly to the track.
